Rive Gauche Patisserie (已結業)

I went there with a friend to get him a Oreo Cheesecake for $5.20. I did not try it myself, but he liked it a lot. According to him, it wasn't too cheesy or sweet, which he enjoyed. I got myself a slice of Strawberry Shortcake for $6. The price was quite expensive for a small piece of cake. I'm not sure that I'll be buying cakes from them too often.Overall, the taste wasn't bad, but neither was it fantastic. I must confess that this is only my second time having strawberry shortcake in my life.

This shop price their cakes too high. The Strawberry Shortcake was not very fantastic but one piece can be around $5-6. Fresh smooth cream with just the right amount of sweetness.You can buy some of their cakes in a small size to try. Their Strawberry Shortcake is REALLY good too. I had a few cakes previously from Rive and this is the first time I tried Mont Blanc. Honestly, I didn't like it. The cream and brandy is too strong for my liking. The cake is stacked with layers of sponge cake and chestnut cream. It looks good but taste wise, it's not too appealing to me.
