My brother bought this home for me, and I've always liked cakes for dessert/supper. Rive Gauche has cakes which are rather reasonably priced, so it's a good place to get birthday cakes as well. I have always wanted to try the Guanaja from Rive Gauche and was so happy when my friends got it for my birthday! The chocolate sponge cake sits on a layer of crispy biscuit and in between lies the bittersweet chocolate mousse. I have a weakness for dark chocolate and this is sooooooooooo good, the sponge cake is soft and the sweetness is just right for me, one slice is not enough!!!

Rive Gauche's rendition of cheesecake may seem like you typical cheesecake but that's just superficial talk. Mmm... How should I put it?
