Was staying over at one of the RWS hotel and saw that Ruyi had breakfast sets so we went there for breakfast! I bought the chicken porridge to share with my friend. Personally I didn't like the porridge. It's quite grainy and not the smoother and silkier kind of porridge that I anticipated. It's also quite salty even without soy sauce. Furthermore the chicken taste like it's leftover from the night before because the meat is quite hard. In the end, my friend and I didn't even finish it even though it's not a very big bowl. The tea came in quite a small paper cup. It would be better if it's refillable. Overall, I think for $5.50, it's not worth it for breakfast.

Nice flower-shaped ceiling lamps in the restaurant.

This is Chinese Fast Food. Many of the cooking processes are done automated. However, I don't find their signature Ruyi Fried Rice very nice. It was a bit dry and salty. $6.20 for this bowl of fried rice is really a tad expensive. Their soup, which come together in the set, was even more salty.

The previous time I had Ruyi before and was disappointed. I tried again because this is the cheapest option here. They use paper containers to serve food, portion was quite small. The last time I tried their rice so this time I tried their noodles. It was nice, really liked the noodles. The seasoning was light and not salty at all. Price is consider cheap, as nothing is cheap here, waiting time about 10mins.

We tried the fried rice, carrot cake, char siew bun and gyoza for breakfast at RWS. Feel that the portion of the fried rice is a bit little for the price. Taste wise would think that it is so-so only. Liked the char siew bun and gyoza. The carrot cake looks a bit burnt, otherwise ok.Quite a crowded place for breakfast...a good alternative if you're not taking the breakfasts from the hotels.

We ordered curry chicken rice and stewed minced pork noodles . The curry is a bit spicy but the favour and fragnance is there , the chicken meat is tender and the rice is soft and chewy.

The noodles come with generous serving of minced pork , the pork is well marinated and tender , the noodles is springy .

Ruyi, is the first fast-food Chinese restaurant to be introduced in Singapore by the Tung Lok Group. As I wanted to try something different and I ordered a stewed minced pork rice with soy egg (lu rou fan) $6.90 and a Ruyi Fried noodle $6.50. From my opinion, I feel that the price is a bit overrated and it does not leave up to the definition for fast food. It was supposed to be cheap and fast? The food was pretty average; however, the service was good. But I would not patronise the shop the nex

i simply love the fried rice at ruyi! Went there with my family for a nice meal. The rice was not too hard not too soft. it was very fragrant as well. There was quite a number of shrimps added to the dish. The shrimps were very fresh and crunchy. As a whole the ruyi fried rice deserves two thumbs up!

Their take away packaging is surely convenient. I chose the Zha Jiang Mian (Stewed Minced Pork Noodles) as a takeway and it came with my noodles in a paper bowl, stacked on top with a container that held my stewed meat sauce, which I could easily just empty into the noodles when I was ready to eat. No comments on the interiors as I left in a hurry but packed to the brim during lunch hour, so beware. It's kinda a sign that the food is good isn't it?

Ruyi is Tung Lok's take on chinese fast food. I like the white and orange decor. I like the fuss free environment to have a quick and cheap meal. I like the very spicy and numbing hot and spicy soup ($3.90) a lot. I like the liberal use of sichuan peppercorn and vinegar in the thick soup. I like the $1 prawn paste chicken wing promotion. I like the distinct taste of the prawn paste seasoning. I dislike the rather cold ruyi fried noodles ($6.20), it will taste much better if the noodles are

I dislike the paper and plastic cutlery. But I like the soup so much that I had it on an evening and went back for lunch again the next day. I will go again soon.
