I had a simple lunch at SOL Tasca, where I only ordered a main course and dessert. It was quite a hot day, so I didn't quite enjoy having my meal outdoor.I had the Almond crushed salmon. The pan-seared salmon has slightly crispy skin, which is pretty nice and it is served with crushed new potatoes and vegetables. The saffron cream sauce however, doesn't taste too special. For dessert, I had the Warm chocolate almond pudding served with triple chocolate ice-cream. The chocolate lava cake is good! the melted chocolate inside the cake is so rich. The triple chocolate ice-cream is quite delightful too! A must try if you are a chocolate lover, it's sinfully yummy! 繼續閱讀

We came here for their 4 course set lunch deal @ $20 bought through some website.Cream of Wild Mushroom - It was a bit salty and the scent of truffle oil was a bit overpowering for me.Rocket Salad with Smoked Duck Breast, Cherries and Hazelnuts Oil Dressing - quite nice especially for those who loved rocket saladPan-Seared Turkey Breast with Chestnut Stuffing- was a bit worried that it can be a bit dry but turned out to be quite juicy and tender- the cranberry sauce also enhanced the flavor of the turkeyWarm Chocolate Almond Pudding with Triple Chocolate Ice Cream- Dessert was quite nice. - "pudding" was topped with some crushed almond and it was like a lava cake with some runny chocolate at the center. - The ice cream was quite nice too. 繼續閱讀

Had the prawns. And the eggs benedict. Prawns were super small and dry and for the money, it was miserly and a waste of time. Took really long to come to the table too. It wasn't very good at all. It's like a child made the dish! Never seen such small prawns served this way at a restaurant. The eggs were alright with the yolks half cooked and not too bad. The muffins were dry and stale. The sauce was alright. Needs more seasoning. Bad and slow service here. Rather arrogant staff and some do not speak English at all! NOT recommended for the prices or the food or the ambience which is under a bridge on the river!Wasting time and money here... 繼續閱讀

My friends suggested we went to sol tasca for a meal. Apparently she bought some online deal and we got to eat everything at half price. There were quite a lot of things to choose from but everything was so pricey. If not for the voucher that she had, I may not consider stepping to this place. The food is good, it came quite fast, probably because when we went, it was not too crowded. We had a hearty meal. Enjoyed myself! 繼續閱讀

I bought a Groupon voucher for Sol Tasca - $20 for $40 worth of food.I had a hard time making booking on Friday nights, as apparently they were fully booked. So, I made a reservation on a Wednesday night. A night they promised had a live band performance. We made our way there at about 630pm, and the place was COMPLETELY deserted. The Starbucks beside was full and a stark contrast to Sol Tasca. So, anyway, feeling a little awkward, cos the restaurant had a open concept, ie all walking passers-by could see us, we picked a high stool table near the middle.Prior to buying the Groupon, I had a look at the online menu and prices seemed reasonable at $28-30 for a paella and we'll have enought for more tapas. Upon reaching the actual venue, they jacked up the prices so much that it was $32-35 for paella, $8 and above for the tapas! Not only that, the tapas were so so so tiny. The White wine Parsley mussels ($22) were too miserable. Resembling more like cockles, with a way too salty sauce. Having been to Spain in the early part of the year, this place saddens me. Unlike the fleshy juicy shellfish I was expecting, what was presented before us was nothing more than a metal plate of shrivelled mussels. Deep-fried calamari ($10) was had like 10 pieces? Lucky for them, Salted cod croquette ($10) was at least hot and Olive, Anchovy and Brie on toast ($8) was pretty authentic.Still, portion is lousy; nothing to speak of for ambience. Over-zealous waitresses clearing your plates as there were no others in the restaurant for the entire stay.We maxed out our Groupon voucher and left for dinner elsewhere.I will never return. 繼續閱讀
