Starbucks have launched a promotional strategy whereby starting from 1 Dec till 12 Dec there are different promotions one can look forward to each day.Today its Starbucks Christmas themed drinks 1 for 1, limited to one set per customer. Its not the first time the popular cafe chain has such a 1 for 1 deal so I was quite skeptical whether to join the long queue that formed outside Starbucks.Anyway the queue moved quite fast and i got my drinks in less than 20 minutes. I got the Toffee Nut latte and Peppermint Mocha.I like the layout of the cafe. When you are queuing, you will pass by the merchandising cabinet with all the mugs and tumblrs. Meet the shopping needs of customers while waiting in line. The toffee nut latte tastes good! I liked it better than the peppermint mocha as it is not as sweet. The peppermint is essentially mocha with peppermint bits. Gives the drink some texture. I liked both drinks but I think I had return for the toffee nut latte.

I ordered a cookie crumble cheesecake for takeaway together with a cup of hot mocha (not shown). The cookie crumble cheesecake cost $6.50. On the first look, it did not appeal much. However, after taking a small bite, I had to say it tasted really nice. The cheesecake was rich and hard, which was the type of cheesecake i preferred. Though small in size, it was very filling (probably due to the higher amount of cheese content present). I did notice something, despite it being cookie crumble cheesecake, only the base was made of cookiie crumble, with some crumble being sprinkled at the top. Other than that, it was actually just a normal cheesecake. To end off, though it tasted fantastic, I would probably not pay $6.50 for it again.

Starbucks made coffee evil! It's really so tempting to get starbucks after a tiring day or even after a dinner. There were a few choices back in my mind, I just have to blurt one of the names out. I was deciding to get my standard drink, Mocha frappe or should I try something new like their white chocolate pudding. Personally, I dont fancy white chocolate but my other half wanted to try so badly so we both order the 2 new flavors. Matcha frappe with white chocolate pudding and Mocha Frappe with white chocolate pudding. Coming along with my other half's favourite new york cheesecake and salted caramel bun. Cheers, getting inches along our waistline.Mocha Frappe With White Chocolate Pudding ($7.90) GrandeThe mocha is so rich in flavour, I would say it's so high in caffeine and I totally got immersed with it. However, bringing along with the white chocolate pudding, it made me feel that it's way too sweet. I dont really feel good with that though. Well, pudding texture is just like beancurd however, with white choclate taste, too rich. I'm not really a big fan for white chocolate however, my boyfriend said it taste really good with the combination. Green Tea Frappe With White Chocolate Pudding ($7.90) GrandeI love green tea, or rather matcha however, when the taste is way too sweet, I would rather not drink it because it would taste like some preserved drink and it happened here. I would not say I regretted it all but just that it can be improve. It's too high in sugar, I think with the white chocolate pudding it was even worst. Overall, still acceptable.New York Cheese Cake ($6.50)Never fail to feel cheesy sweet after having this. My all time favourite too. The texture is so smooth and rich in cheese that I would never be able to find such a good piece of cake. The slice of cake is pretty generous too. Salted Caramel Bun ($5.90)Yes, it's very sweet, it seems like having caramel with condensed milk in combination however, it really taste well with these combination though! Cheers for that!

The moment you walk into starbucks, you smell the delicious aroma of fresh brewed coffee that is just intoxicating! I came here for a relaxing weekend breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The food itself including the blueberry muffin was very average and nothing stood out. The muffin was in fact quite dry. The chocolate croissant was nothing spectacular too, however the ambience was really relaxing and nice.

I met a friend for breakfast at starbucks, we ordered the mushroom pastry each. i must say this is one of the best mushroom pastry i have every eaten. the pastry has a light tinge of buttery fragrance. it was really crispy. when you cut into it, it completely flakes and crumbles. the mushroom filling is seasoned perfectly. the mushroom tasted well sauteed. the portion is pretty large, makes a very hearty breakfast.
