Tried @starbuckssg new breakfast offering. Their Croque Madame Puff is certainly an interesting idea, but it was more of a let down. The sauce under the egg made the fluff pastry soggy and the whole thing was rather blend. This isn't one of the pasties I would recommend. *Gold card members* For $6.90, show your gold card and get a latte to go with your choice of pastry as well. Decided to try something different from the usual Spearmint Green Tea, Lemon Shaken Tea and juices. Bought the Cotton Candy ($8.20 for large size). It was one of the special drinks that you'll have to tell the barista at Starbucks, Cotton Candy cannot be found on the menu. Its actually made up of raspberry and cream. Cotton Candy was well blended with the whipper cream, but still far too sweet. Its also a little overpriced, $8.20 for a cup of cotton candy. Woke up early this morning and thought of heading to Starbucks Tampines Mall for breakfast and at the same time, to serve the net and check some emails. As usual, on a weekday at Starbucks TM its rather empty, you can definitely find a empty table. Placed my laptop and went to order my breakfast. Wanted to try out something different from Raspberry Cheesecake, so chose this Red Berries Chocolate Cake and my favorite Spearmint Green Drink. The Red Berries Chocolate Cake was very normal, can't really taste the red berries, most of it are just chocolate and cake. $6.90 for that little slice of Red Berries Chocolate Cake is definitely overpriced. Still prefer my Raspberry Cheesecake, As for the Spearmint Green, its one of the best Tea on the menu for me. Green Tea with a hint of spearmint, makes it a prefect way to start the day. Visited Starbucks once again for its Raspberry Cheesecake. Its Raspberry Cheesecake in my opinion is one of the best cakes on Starbucks menu. There's 3 parts to the Raspberry Cake. The most bottom there's a layer of cookies or biscuits, which is most likely to be oatmeal cookies. In the middle layer its cheesecake, and on the top there's some raspberry cream. While waiting for my friend at Tampines, I ordered a cup of hot Caramel Mmacchiato ($6.30) at Sstarbucks to chill and study. What I noticed while sipping my coffee was that the queue at the Tampines outlet is never ending! There's always a long queue, especially during noon time. I queued for 15 mins to get my coffee! Caramel Macchiato is already a sweet coffee on its own due to the caramel, so be sure to mix it well. I treated my mom to our first breakfast at Starbucks and I feel that the food here is not up to standard. However, the service was good as the lady at the counter kept giving us various options and was friendly and smiley. We ordered a Venti sized hot Caramel Macchiato to share and had the Mushroom & Mozzarella Flaky Sandwich which consist of linseed, flaxseed and sunflower seeds filled with creamy white mushrooms and mozzarella cheese. The Turkey Ham, Egg White & Cheddar classic breakfast which consist of ciabatta-like roll filled with egg white patty, turkey ham and cheddar cheese. Being a fan of the Green Tea Cream of starbucks, I will definitely want to try this seasonal Green Tea Cream with Red Bean. Given that there is red bean toppings, one will not be able to add whipped cream to it (unlike the usual Frappucino). Though this drink tastes good (in fact, it tastes similar to Green Tea Cream), I feel that there is nothing special. Was looking for a good coffee place at tampines central and decided on Starbucks at tampines mall. There was quite a crowd but i got my drink in a short while. The cashier was also calm and polite despite the crowd. A good place to chill, this starbuck have indoor and door table. I choose to sit indoor because there's aircon and very cosy with the nice soft sofa. Staff are all friendly and service are quick too, There's alot of plug, so for people need to use laptop to chill here actually not a very big problem.
