Steak Republic used to be a café before it moved to a stall in the nearby coffeeshop. There were queues during lunch-time which indicates its popularity amongst the lunchgoing crowd. We had this monstrous burger that comes with spaghetti which would surely provide more than enough carbohydrates for the rest of the day. The spaghetti was normal though. I decided to return to try out more of Steak Republic's offerings. This time, it will be their signature dish, grilled steak. The steak itself was decent for its price (coffeeshop what did you expect?). I had it medium rare and it was not overly done. The sauces could have been more flavourful though. The onion rings, whilst big, were only that many. The mashed potatoes were a waste of calories though.

Ahhhhhh, I love rostis. What's there not to like? Crispy potatoes and tasty meat within them. I tried Steak Republic's rosti and I found it really value for money compared to places like Marche. The rosti itself was good because there was generous bits of meat and grated potatoes. This one was pan fried and very crispy. I also liked the sausages. This is certainly a must try.
