The other day, I had dinner at Sushi Tei Raffles City. I arrived at around 7pm and there is a queue forming. I waited for around 20minutes for a table for two (it would be a 10minutes wait if we had gotten the counter seats. However, I had actually preferred the counter seats as the table seats for two are actually very cramped and the other table is just half an arm’s length away which is slightly too close for comfort.Anyway, I always liked to order the sashimi salad at Sushi Tei. Sushi Tei @ Raffles City best branch of Sushi Tei in Singapore. I always enjoy eating at Sushi Tei, particularly at this branch, as the food and taste are finer and services are great.What is so great?The Wafu Source Beef Salad, Fried Rice, Phoenix Roll, Salmon Skin dipping with the special sweet source, coupled with Wasabi and Chilli Powder.  These combination is just heavenly combination of taste. These dishes come with free flow of green tea.Lovely!

What will be a Chinese New Year Dinner be without Fa Cai Yu Sheng. Sushi Tei is one of my favourite places for Japanese food, simply because I love that they use higher quality ingredients in every dish. Had dinner at Sushi Tei, place was relatively empty when we reached about 6. We ordered the golden roll, one of my favourites at the restaurant. The mango slices are very fresh, goes very well with the sushi and fried prawn, very yummy! Salmon sashimi slices are very fresh. We also had the meat gyoza, I like the sauce that comes with it. Sushi Tei's raffles city branch is very popular during peak dinner hours, and I queued for around 25 minutes to get a table; service was alright though, even though it was full house that day. I recommend the fried crispy white bait - very crispy and tasty, makes you crave for more. I also had the hot pot-like thing; it was quite unique as the "bowl" was paper thin. Soup was also alright.

I love beef so I was happy to see that Sushi Tei has this beef strips that I can book on a hot stone plate. But this beef comes marinated in some sauce (tasted like Teriyaki sauce) and they heat up a hot plate for you. Melt some butter on the plate and cook the meat. I didn't like the marination too much as I think it kinda takes away the beef flavour rather than adds to it. A tad overpowering.

Raffles city branch has a very long queue during dinner, and the wait could take up to 40mins, so do go early to queue. Presentation of the prawn avocado sushi is great, but the mango roll tastes slightly better. Sushi Tei has better sushi than Sakae overall, and a greater variety. The matcha dessert is my favourite of the whole meal; small bits of ice cream. They have other desserts to choose from as well.

The nicest chicken karaage ever consumed! During rush hours during all the meals time i don't mind queuing up for up to 2hours before i can enter the restaurant to have my meals inside that restaurant.the chicken karaage they serve is crispy on the outside, juicy inside..and the mayonnaise they serve with it is such a wonderful combination..

I love eating at Sushi Tei. This is one of my favourite dishes at SUshi Tei. Its a must have for all salmon lovers! The salmon is cooked to a slight crisp with mentai layered on top. The smell of this dish is mouth watering.The salmon is slightly crispy near the skin and together with the delicious mentai, is one of the best dishes I have ever liked. Its one of the dishes that makes me come back to Sushi Tei again and again. They have wonderful service as well!

This is inside one of their sushi variety dishes! And look at the appearance, it is skillfully cut into pieces and it is properly arranged. It looks too good to eat it already! The start is the prawn king head and you can eat them too! And the rest of the body are the sushi, it is wrapped with a layer of mango outside with the orange bits topping. And the inside are prawn meat, japanese rice and some sauces. They tasted too good together!

chawanmushi (my favourite all the time!)good in their service and their most importantly is their food, but mostly will be alot of people from 7 till 9 . so go there before this time and enjoy a quite and cooling place to enjoy your sashimi, ramen, don, tempura and sushi there. In raffles city looking for japanese food? this is a place i will highly recommend you to go.

Came for a friend's fare well lunch.. I seldom come to sushi tei because i find it quite overpriced.. I took the oyako don- which is chicken and egg on rice.. and i couldnt believe that the bowl of green japanese soy beans cost me $4.50! Sorry to be seen like a cheapo but for a bowl of beans that doesnt even need cooking? Went there for dinner with friend as we had never tried this before. Surprisingly, the service was good, fast and efficient. They kept refilling our green tea, unlike some other restaurant, which you had to wave to the waiters to refill your water,Well, it might be a little bit pricey, but it is definitely worth it.
