Since my cousin loves ice cream very much, and I'm also a huge fan of chocolates,I decided to buy a chocolate ice cream cake for her during her birthday!The price is quite affordable for a 1kg cake - below $45, inclusive of the candles.Serves 7 - 8 persons.Rated: 7.5/10Lovely ice cream texture, and every single chocolatey bit the cake was made of!The decoration of the cake was also good.Tasted good when it's warm (melted) or cold!!!The cake was also very well packed!Dry ice was included.Affordab

Lovely ice cream texture, and every single chocolatey bit the cake was made of!
The decoration of the cake was also good.

The cake was also very well packed!
Dry ice was included.

Affordable price, good service and conducive environment.

Swensen's western food is always what I craving for. The Food is large in portion, a lot of choices and comparably cheap. The Root beer is quite nice, so every time I went Swensen's I will try my best to order it if I am not having their desserts. The ice cream is vanilla, very creamy and went well with the coke. The fries are nice, crispy outside and soft inside. I don't like the coleslaw, the vege is too large a piece.

Grilled Dory Fish with Sambal Sauce

Upon looking at the menu, it sounds nice, that is because i'm a person who love spicy food.However, upon arrival, the sambal doesn't seems to go well with the dory fish. I ended up going it with those bottled chilli sauce, it tastes so muuucchh better! Another thing is that the sambal chilli is taken out right from the refrigerator and the dory fish seems to be left in room temperature for quite awhile. Was so frustrated over the bill, our rational is we paid for service charge, therefore we

Another thing is that the sambal chilli is taken out right from the refrigerator and the dory fish seems to be left in room temperature for quite awhile.


Was so frustrated over the bill, our rational is we paid for service charge, therefore we requested from the staff for bill, we waited for 15mins for our bill.
Seems that not only us waiting for the bill, there are other customers who are waiting for it too! And it happens to all Swensens branches.

hot and spicy baked riceSwensen baked rice is always too heavy flavour, esp the Northpoint outlet. not suitable for those who dont like heavy taste food. but this baked rice is not bad..mozerella cheese stickthe cheese inside is totally cold, not melted! not recommended all selections from the chocolate ice cream section!the chocolate used is of good quality, but again its too sweet, one person cant finish all.

I ordered Fish N chips (as always) and the fish was really good alright. Although my fav fish n chips is from manhattan fish market, the one from swensens isn't too bad too! I remember them serving it with tartar sauce but this time the set didnt come with the tartar sauce...(not like it matters cos we can still ask them for it)

Mozarella Cheese Sticks

While at NEX a couple of weeks back, my friends and I were contemplating between Din Tai Fung and Swensens for dinner.We ended up heading to Swensens instead as the queue was much shorter.As we were starving, we ordered sides along with our main courses.The Mozarella Cheese Sticks were an absolute delight.It was fried to perfection and very crispy.The cheese was chewy and perfectly melted.Definitely my favourite side from Swensens!

Reunion dinner!

It's been so long ever since I dine at Swensen's. I was walking around Junction 8 with my clique and we have not decide where to eat. Upon popular demand, we went Swensen's for our Reunion Dinner. We ordered quite a lot. I had fish and chip. The fish is not so tasty it taste bland without mayo, so I just spam mayo and chili to make it taste better. If only it's more smooth and tasty I would try it again this week.

fish & chipsThe fish was a little dry but otherwise quality of food wasn't that bad. It is crispy and really smooth inside. I went to swensens with some of my colleagues for dessert after work. I ordered the creat your own Sundae ice cream. I got to choose from 2 scoops of ice cream and 2 toppings. I ordered the pistachio almond and chocolate peanut butterscotch ice cream. Initially I want to order their blackforest ice cream instead of the chocolate peanut butterscotch ice cream, but was told it was out of stock. For the toppings, I ordered the hot fudge and marshmallow. I thought they will throw the marshmallow on

Great meal with friends here! Different types of cruisines are available here and the price is reasonable! Love their stir fried noodles with black pepper, taste abit spicy but delicious! Other main courses such as fish and chips, deep fried chicken cutlet are not too bad but with no surprises. Best thing here is you can end your meal with their signature sundae or ice-cream cakes! My verdict: 7/10

It was a sleepy Sunday morning as we made our way to NEX - the new shopping mall in Serangoon. We were looking for a cosy place for breakfast when we chanced upon the Swensen's outlet, that was open and serving breakfast till 11am.We decided to give it a try and didn't regret it at all.The breakfast menu was loaded with goodies and there was a special section for the kids as well.We tried the Pancakes set, Breakfast special set, and kids meals - for the kids.The Pancakes Set was simply superb -

We decided to give it a try and didn't regret it at all.
The breakfast menu was loaded with goodies and there was a special section for the kids as well.
We tried the Pancakes set, Breakfast special set, and kids meals - for the kids.
The Pancakes Set was simply superb - with the scrambled eggs, cheesy sausages and creamy mushrooms. The mushrooms were especially delicious - with their creamy flavour.
The Special Breakfast set had french toast, eggs, herb sausages and mushrooms.
It was good to taste French Toast after a long time.
We seldom have a proper breakfast like this nowadays with our hectic schedules, so this was a welcome change indeed.
The kIds meals arrived in kiddy plates and even the hash browns - with the sun. moon and stars - were customised to delight the kids.
Every adults meal set came with Coffee or Tea and a juice.
The prices were really reasonable , considering the amount of food and variety in each meal set.
It was a hearty breakfast and we felt gorged when we left, so we had to skip lunch!!

First time experience was average. The ice cream buffet has a lot of selection to go around. No chance to try all the types. They have a good selection of toppings, but the ice cream is already very tasty, some ice cream flavours are rare and never heard of too. Sweet.But can still make improvements in ambience and price cause it is kind of expensive for just desserts.

Nex is my new favourite hangout and we decided to dine at swensens after a long day of shopping.My boyfriend ordered the mega burger and it was indeed huge. The burger came with veggies at the bottom, followed by onions, cheese, beef patty and an egg on top! Overall, a very busy outlet, could do with more staff as the staff on the floor as the staff looked shorthanded.

Swensen For The Lamb Chop

The lamp chop at Swensen was awfully delicious. Though it only serve three pieces of the chop, but it's good enough to satisfy my cravings for lamb meat. The meat taste very nice and not tough. It was very well done and the special sauce to dip with the lamb meat make it the most wonderful experience for me. They gave generous amount of wedges and carrots too. Must come and try the lamb chop,it's too good to give it a miss )
