After an enjoyable time last month with my friend, I decide to revisit this place for its noodles. I tried out the dan dan noodles which comes with minced pork, some vegetables and to my surprise, crunched peanuts. This is the first time I saw crushed nuts together with my noodles. The la mian is very qq and not overcooked. The soup base is also very flavourful, and I drank quite a lot of the soup. However, I think I will try other types of la mian the next time since I felt the minced pork is quite little, and there is nothing special to it.

The interior of Tang Dian Wang is quite nicely decorated. I was there at around 6:45pm on a weekday evening and it is still relatively quiet with only a few other customers in the restaurant. After looking through the menu, I ordered the Grilled Eel soup noodles since it is the first time that I saw a chinese restaurant having grilled eel or unagi. The grilled eel portion is quite resonable given that this bowl of noodles only cost $7.80. The noodles are quite qq and is very nice. The soup broth is also quite tasty, though I would prefer it to be less flavourful since the grilled eel itself is quite salty and the whole dish ended up being quite saltish.

Went for a late afternoon snack one day.We ordered from their Dim Sum menu as lunch orders were already over.We tried their infamous Crispy Skin Duck and really enjoyed every bit of it. Although it is different to the ones at Crystal Jade or Imperial Treasure. The skin here is thicker. The flavour different.We ordered quite a few baskets (almost everything on offer) of their Dim Sum, and found everything to be satisfactory.We loved the quiet ambience and the nice lanterns and clever use of mirrors. No one is bothering you all the time and the staff are pretty attentive. You get to sit and chat for as long as you want over your food.Towels and chopsticks incur extra charges - this is a really annoying bit. Service charge and GST are already separately charged. And now even the use of cutlery and napkins have to be separately charged? Should we bring our own cutlery? This aspect of Singapore dining is really embarrassing.

It was a nice experience having dinner with my boyfriend at Tang Dian Wang. This is the first time we visit this place. We were walking aimlessly thinking what to have for dinner when a lady approach us and offer us a cup of soup which they are promoting, "no msg chicken herbal soup". The service was good as the staffs were polite and food were served to us pretty fast. We ordered the herbal chickent soup and brocolli. The soup is definately worth the price especially for soup lover as it is refillable for free The soup was place on a stove so that the soup will be piping hot. We were given a plate of vegetables to mix in the soup so as to prevent it from overcooking. Cant remember was exactly is the name of this dish. As the sauce is cooked separately from the veggies, it makes the veggies taste fresh and not overcooked.

The style of Tang Dian Wang's menu is similar to Crystal Jade's.There were a few dishes which I liked. Among them is the fried skin beancurd. The skin is crispy while the toufu inside is soft. I also like the duck (served with a delicious dark sauce) and the fragrant lotus rice.The orange lanterns hanging on the ceiling add to the warmth ambience of this restaurant. Price-wise, the food here is cheaper than others like Din Tai Fung or Crystal Jade.It is usually crowded during weekends. If you don't mind Chinese classics (songs) broadcast, you may find the atmosphere here pleasant.
