The boneless braised duck from Teochew Braised Duck Rice at Blk. 120 Bukit Merah Lane 1, #01-84 at Alexandra Village Food Centre are quite tasty and within normal standard. Nothing special about the duck meat except there were no hint of gaminess except the brown gravy is salty. Most duck meat from other outlets tend to be rich and fatty but these braised ducks are not.My last trip to this place was after peak hours around 3 pm so there were no crowd.Today when I arrived at the stall around 12.30 pm there were at least 8 people in front of me mostly office workers having their lunch.I waited for about 20 minutes. I wanted to make salad from the deboned duck meat. So I have requested for the half duck at S$18 to be deboned. The whole braised duck cost S$37.00.Aside from braised duck, there are other braised dishes such as pig ears, pig head, pig large intestines, beancurd, duck gizzards to go along with rice.Closed on Thursday/Friday (except public holidays)Here's the Shredded Braised Duck Meat Salad

The FoodI ordered a plate of Braised Duck Rice. The duck is fragrant due to the rich and thick braised sauce but the meat is a little too hard. I think the duck can be stewed longer so that the meat is softer and for the skin to fully absorbed the braised sauce. The braised sauce was delicious enough for me to eat the white rice with it alone. The PriceReasonably priced at $3 with generous portionOverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this!

The braised ducks hanging at the stall looks tempting and the service seems to be prompt, so we decided to go for the braised duck rice since we do not have much time to queue for our favourite stall at Alexandra Village.We ordered braised duck and pork skin. The pork skin was nice and Q but the braised duck was slightly tough. The braised sauce was quite nice with the rice.
