There is a long queue of people at this stall when I reach the place. And most have huge orders. For example the guy in front has ordered 12 lotus pasta pau and 12 steamed meat pau. If you are not very full after a meal and feel like eating something with a small serving, this is the something that will suit you. The bao is only about 4cm in diameter. You can finish it up in 1 mouth. It cost 60 cents for 1 bao and there have quite a lot of varieties to choose from. Any flavour that you can find in a normal sized bao, you can find them here. Queuing can be rather long at times as some customers order a few boxes at a go. So be prepared to wait….

This handmade dimsum stall at Toa Payoh Food Centre always had a long queue during their opening times.Since it was lunch time, I had ordered Fan Choi and Siew Mai instead of Buns as they are more stomach filling.The Fan Choi was good. In this small stall at the second level of the market and food centre, selling a variety of paus and simple dim sum such Siew Mai and char Siew rice. There is always never ending queue at the stall. One could see the 3 staffs busy making and serving the customers. The red bean pau costs $0.60 each and is very small in size which one can easily finished in one two mouthfuls. It tastes quite soft and not too sweet.

There is always a queue in the morning and hence we decided to give it a try. We ordered the fan choy, kou rou bao and siew mai to share. The fan choy is flavourful but the serving is rather small. The siew mai is juicy and flavourful and i think siew mai lovers will like it. The kou rou bao is my favourite. It is very tiny though but the pork is fragrant and goes well with the soft bun. I will definitely patronise this stall again!

We order siew mai, char siew pau, dou sha pau, char siew in the pau is a bit different from outside, don't have the punch because char siew is too fine cut, siew mai is superb, we love it very much, can't stop eating, full of ingredients, for the pricing, you could not find it elsewhere, cheap and good. Strongly recommend siew mai, love the sweetness of siew mai with so much ingredients and thin skin, worth to eat as it is handmade. dou sha pau also so so only.

The paus here are touted to be very good, so I had to give them a try, out of curiosity. Unfortunately, I was pretty let down by the paus here. I tried a couple of flavours and was not very impressed with them. The char siew pau was too dry, and the skin was not super moist either. Each piece cost 60 cents for a tiny tiny pau too! So it was very expensive because you have to eat like 5-6 to be full! Not very worth it...

I was coming here to take away steamed bun for my roommate. They said it sold the best handmade buns in Singapore. It was a family business, and when I was there I saw them working happily with full of joy. The pau was freshly made everyday. The price of each bun was stated clearly at the board hanging in front the stall. Reasonable price definitely, the bun was delicious especially while it still hot. Please note that they closed on Monday.

I love their hand made siew mai! With carrots and meat wrapped together, yet it was moist and firm Yummy! Tried their chicken pau and meat paus too, which I don't recommend. The Chicken pau consists of shredded chicken mixed together, not those real chicken meat with delicious gravy. Same applies for the meat pau, all are shredded meats which do not have any gravy inside the paus Kou rou pau is their popular item! I think I will come back for siew mai only.

sometimes after having lunch here,when i'm still not full,i will come here get some bun or go to muffin storei like their mini buns,very nice but expensivethis time i try their big bun,which cost $1.20 eachcompare to the small one,this is much more worthThe big bun was nice,inside the meat was well marinated and juicy sometime long queue,sometimes no queue,service is ok,auntie is very friendly

I love to eat pau. I love different types of pau and this is the place where i get my pau. My favourite are the char siew pau and kong bak pau. Kong bak pau sold out quite fast and i have to make an effort to come early to get it. Both type of pau are of the bite sized and i can eat 6 to 8 of them at one go. The kong bak pau has nice braised meat in a thin layer of pau skin. The char siew filling is juicy and nice too.

I frequently buy this because as mentioned in my earlier reviews,my in laws love the paus from this stall, so I didn't take any photos of it this time. I bought 10 of the char siew, 10 of the tau sa, and 10 of the lotus paste paus. I had the chance to try all three different types in one setting and my verdict is I still love my char siew pau.
