I was excited when I saw that Texas Chicken had a new item on their menu, the Mexicana Wrap, and I just had to try it! They had a promotion for the set, with a side of mashed potato and a drink for $6.20, although you can also get it as a Buddy Meal Set with two pieces of chicken, two mashed potato and two drinks for $12.90.  Mexicana Wrap Set: Mexicana Wrap + Mashed Potato + Peach Tea ($6.20)

Portion for this wrap was quite big for me. There were two Texas Chicken's chicken tenders inside with diced tomatoes, lettuce, and fried tortilla chips dressed with spicy mayo and cheese wrapped with a tortilla that was toasted just nice. First bite was pretty meager but it got progressively better towards the middle as all the ingredients had already "settled" at the base. The chicken were crunchy and juicy and the tortilla chips added a fair amount of crunch to each bite. Not that any more crunchiness was needed since the chicken strips were already crunchy enough, but more crunch is always welcome! There was also the spicy and tangy taste of the sauce although I found the "Jalapeño kick" they promised to be comparatively mild. Nevertheless, this was pretty tasty on the whole and also quite filling!

 Super Saver Meal: 2 Pieces Chicken + Mashed Potato + Grape ($5.90)

Their chicken came in Original or Spicy version and we got the spicy ones. This was very crispy and crunchy (which was kind of addictive to bite) and the chicken meat was very tender. However, it was only mildly spicy and wasn't as spicy as KFC's version.

 Peach Tea and Grape
We changed our drinks from Coke to Peach Tea and Grape. It costs an extra $0.30 to change the coke to iced Tea, but I didn't want to drink coke so I just ended up paying for the switch. No additional price to switch to other soft drinks like Grape though.

 Mashed Potato
Although it looked similar to KFC's, the taste was not the same. This was slightly more peppery, although the gravy was still smooth and thick and the mashed potato was just as soft. I wish there were more gravy though; I thought it was slightly dry when the potato was eaten without the gravy.

We also actually ordered the Biscuit Helado which was on offer for $1.90 with a coupon but it wasn't served even after we finished our meal. Upon checking with the counter for the second time, the staff informed us that the machine was spoilt. I think they should have told us earlier and not wait for the customer to check with them twice. We ended up cancelling the order for the Biscuit Helado and asking for a refund, which, to their credit, willingly acceded to.

Overall, Texas Chicken is a good alternative to KFC is you're bored of eating the same thing at KFC (although most of the food are technically the same thing). For variety though, I'd recommend Texas Chicken Wraps such as the new Mexicana Wrap!

Was here at texas chicken again as i was craving the chicken from there. This time round i ordered chicken tender meal, which consists of 3 pieces of chicken tenders, a biscuit, mash potato and a choice of drink. This cost me $6.50 which is quite affordable. The chicken are indeed very tender and soft! I love it! The biscuit is nice too. Mash potato was not warm enough in my opinion. Overall i find this meal quite value for money.

Texas Chicken is one of my favourite chicken apart from KFC. Called the Texas Chicken delivery hotline at 66653338 and got through on my first try! I ordered the family set meal called Generous Indulgence.It consist of 7 pieces Chicken spicy or regular,5 pieces of Chicken tenders spicy or regular,6 pieces Chicken Nuggets,6 pieces of Biscuits.2 large and 1 regular Mashed potatoes and one 1.5 litre Coke. Delivery staff very nicely packaged the whole thing.Went for the biscuits because that's my favourite.Very soft and delicious.The chicken tenders are okay but I should have ordered the Spicy ones.The nuggets are nothing to crow about.The mashed potatoes are excellent and piping hot! Next comes the Spicy Chicken pieces.Nice texture,good flavour and taste. Not too oily or greasy. All in all a very satisfying meal when washed down with coke.

The older time, I'm a KFC fan but after trying Popeyes, Arnold Fried Chicken and Texas...They are way too BETTER than KFC!! I have been wanting to try Texas Chicken but the one at Causeway Point is always crowded. Pass by the restaurant on Friday evening & decided to pack a meal home! Bought the 2-piece chicken meal which comes with 2 pieces of chicken, a biscuit, a medium whipped potato and a drink.  I must say, the chicken is better than KFC! Meat is tender and juicy, while the skin is crispy, not hard. The biscuit is a little dry while the whipped potato is a little bland.

Order today special's 10 pieces winglets for $5 and a large packet of French fries ($2.90) for takeaway from the causeway point outlet. I am surprised to find a few drumlets in the box of winglets. Shouldn't it be all winglets? But anyway the winglets are crispy and delicious. The French fries are limp and soft. They are lacking of the crunchiness and crispiness.

Had dinner at Texas Chicken, Causeway Point with a friend yesterday. It was really crowded and there were no seats. We've to wait for 10 minutes to get our seats. I ordered 2 Tendered Chicken with Fries for $3.50, i guess so. I more prefer McDonald's Fries than Texas Chicken Fries, cause McDonald's fries are much more delicious. The chicken were not that bad...

Happen to receive the mailer on Texas chicken cut out coupon promotion. Bought the above onion rings at a discounted price of $1.90 each. The onion rings taste quite similar to the version which we have at Burger King, only is that the size of it from Texas Chicken is much bigger and thicker in portion. Is very crispy and not too oily. Great to have it on its own or to dip in the chilli or tomato sauce.

Another new fried chicken fast food chain, Texas Chicken has opened or relaunched in Singapore after KFC, Popeye and Arnold. I mentioned relaunched because I remembered there was Texas Chicken in the 1980's if my memories were correct. Compare to the other fried chicken chains, the fried chicken at Texas Chicken was less oily. However I thought the chicken lacked the fragrance in their seasoning.

TEXAS CHIX for dinner with friends. As we are living in Woodlands, the four of us decided to gather awhile in Causeway point to have our dinner. Texas Chix foods is quite similar to Popeyes or KFC because of their fried chicken. I loved their mash potato and chicken alot as it was both very tasty. You may be surprised, it was only my 2nd visit to Texas Chicken in my whole life. However, the 1st time I went to Texas Chicken, I had alrdy fell in love with the mash potato sold there. There were alot of ppl at the fast food restaurant when we got there, and we only managed to find a sit after waiting for a while. The queue was quite long too, so we waited quite some time for that too.

When my friend brought the set to the table, I saw that he had ordered a set which came with 2 pieces of chicken (spicy of course, as we both like spicy food), 1 fried bun, 1 mash potato, and a cup of Coke. I didnt like the taste of Coke, so after drinking 1 mouth, the rest were his. 1st thing I grabbed? The mash potato of course, my favourite. The potato melts in your mouth, and the sauce that came with was just perfect. Eating the sauce and potato tgt was a great combination, it tasted oh-so-fabulous!
However, my only grouse was that there wasnt enough of the brown sauce to satisfy me. Hehe, I like my potato to be drenched in sauce all over.

The chicken was not bad either; crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. It was piping hot and I scalded my fingers a few times while trying to peel off the crispy skin to eat. It was pretty spicy though, so I had to drink a few more sips of Coke. The bun was pretty nice too. I actually put mash potato on it and ate it together, turned out it wasnt so bad!


Overall, the chicken was nice, and not too oily too. Mash potato was really nice too.

There was a offer for 4 pieces of Texas Chicken for specific days at different outlets of it. This was the first time I am trying Texas chicken. I had 2 pieces of spicy Texas chicken for $4.80. The chicken was very spicy for me. I felt that it was more spicy compared to mcspicy from Mcdonald. However, it was yummy to me, and I am going to eat it again next time.

Just visited this place yesterday, and it was buzzing with lots of hungry customers, had to wait for ages till I got a seat! Well, I tried their Tex Supreme burger meal, and it was quite alright, but nothing to scream about, really. These places are better specialised in their chicken~ Anyway, one thing to really drool upon is their onion rings! Their onion rings are such scrumptious delights, and you'll wish you had a never ending supply of it! It's just awesome. Oh yes, their desserts are pretty good, if I say so myself. They have this strawberry shortcake with ice cream on top, and it is utterly oozing with goodness! They're generous with the amount of strawberries as well, which really makes your money worthwhile.

Brought a set of Double Deal meal shared with my parents. Include 2 pieces chicken, tex supreme, a regular colesaw, smashed potato and 2 drinks.For the Tex Supreme, the Chicken was very crispy and have a tender texture. The vegetables given was acceptable.
