So my friends wanted to try some korean bbq, after we last had korean bbq in LA, California. So we managed to google and hunt down one at Marina Square. Here are some of the offerings, that you can pick your meat and veggies. I strongly recommend the glass noodles (tang hoon) and the fried chicken wings which are freshly fried non stop!! FREE FLOW CHICKEN WINGS!! Seriously, the best part of the buffet! My friends and I were cooking the meat and you can wrap up the oily meat in veggies and eat them, or just eat the meat whole. When the foil is too used up, you can ask for service and an aunty will come and clean up the foil and give you a new foil, so you don't have to keep cooking on a burnt layer of meat. Not a bad place for a meal, at almost $24 per person, it is not the cheapest either. The marinated BBQ meat are well marinated and taste great! The major downside is that you smell of BBQ when you are done, your hair and clothes both! 繼續閱讀

For more details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.com/2014/05/the-corner-place-korean-bbq.htmlThe Corner Place Korean BBQ is not really located at the most corner, but I don't really think anyone will care right?Decided to try their buffet which is only available for dinner during the weekdays, and whole day for weekends. Of course, ala carte menu is available too throughout the week. Most of the raw food (meat) looks appetizing to taken for bbq-ing, and the ready-cooked dishes doesn't seems bad either. There is this huge plate of ready-cooked glass noodle, similar to the Chinese version of rice vermicelli. Wasn't really expecting any good taste out of it, thus it took me by surprise when after I tasted.Ssamjang is a winning sauce in their restaurant, ideally for meat lovers! Indeed, the sweet taste of the sauce does enhance the flavors of the meat.Kimchi Fried Rice, one of their other ready-cooked food, is kept in the rice cooker. Wouldn't mind scooping another bowl for it!Another ready cooked food you should not miss is the fried chicken wing. I actually expected it to be dry and soggy type, but it went the exact opposite of my thoughts. Yummy!I set my expectation pretty low, and I got surprised by the quality of the food and service provided. For the price of $31.98 (lunch), else $37.98 (dinner), I think it is still quite reasonable.I believe most places might not even care, but The Corner Plae Korean BBQ's crew took the initiative to change the aluminium foil every now and then, when 70-80% of the foil is charred. For more details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.com/2014/05/the-corner-place-korean-bbq.html 繼續閱讀

Visit http://freshffm.blogspot.sg/2014/05/the-corner-place-korean-bbq-seoooul-good.html for the full review with photos! When it comes to something like Korean Barbecue, the quality and taste of the restaurant boils down to the freshness of the ingredients they use and the quality of their marinates since the actual cooking is done by customers themselves. In both these aspects, The Corner Place does fairly well. The place offers a decent spread of raw meats and Vegetables coupled with a few cooked selections like Korean glass noodles, seaweed soup and fried wings. In terms of the meat however, the Restaurant offers a more than decent selection of very fresh cuts. All the non-marinated meats were sliced finely but not too thin, making it both easy to control when cooking and easy to bite into for a flavorful burst when eating them...Visit http://freshffm.blogspot.sg/2014/05/the-corner-place-korean-bbq-seoooul-good.html for the full review with photos! 繼續閱讀

My group of friends & I originally wanted to have steamboat at a restaurant but it was fully packed! We walked around with hungry stomachs and quickly settled on this Korean BBQ suggested by one of them. The dinner buffet cost $24++ which adds up to $30 after taking in GST and service charge etc. The place closes at 10 and the last order is 9.30pm! We reached around 8pm and quickly spam the meat! Out of all, my favourite is the beef, followed by fish and spicy chicken. I love korean seafood pancakes but the ones are so disappointing. The rice cakes and kimchi are not bad though. Overall, one thing I like here is their standard of hygiene as they changed our foil on the bbq pan a few times. However, the quality of food is just average and not worth the price. 繼續閱讀

Too many people at the food court it was just painful waiting for seats. so we went on over to the corner place for some bimbimbap loving. this was $8.80 ++ for bimbimbap buffet. it sounded like... too much rice. thankfully not so. a very patient filipino staff got ready our tables and explained what our buffet included. which was basically the cooked meats, fried glass noodles, prawn crackers and all their ban chan salads. Rice and seaweed soup too of course. That's my round one and round two! The marinated meats are actually all really quite good. tender slices of pork chicken and beef. my favourite's the pork though. and i love their brilliantly green cucumber slices. perfect palate cleanser. they also have preserved spicy radish cubes, kimchi, beanstrips, beansprouts with mushroom and raw lettuce. eating my greens For $10.90 nett, the food isn't half bad considering a bowl of bimbimbap outside retails for about $6-9 already. But the lingering smell of bbq is a bit of a concern especially if you're coming here right after a bath. 繼續閱讀
