A spin-off, or branch of Greenwood Seafood Bistro (review here), the Little Fish Shop is truly a hidden gem tucked away on level 4 of Nex Shopping Mall - just when I thought I knew Nex well enough! Little Fish Shop is the expansion into the heartlands, serving quality, fresh and affordable seafood dishes from around the world.The Ocean Trout (SGD$24.95) from the same section, pan-seared. It was served with 2 sides, so *Janice opted for mashed potatoes and chips. Her feedback was that the Ocean Trout was good, but bore a striking resemblance to salmon in aesthetics and palatial aspects, as well as the creamy, flakey texture.The the Ling Cod (SGD$26.95), having been described to bear resemblance to the cod and catfish (doesn't sound right huh). I opted for pan-seared doneness and sides of fresh green salad and chips. The fish did taste like catfish - the more taut version of it, a little creamy as well, but nothing like black cod. Finally tried Little Fish Shop after so many years it has been in Nex! Tried most of the restaurants in Nex except for this! It’s one of the more ‘Atas’ restaurant which specializes in fish and seafood in nex. Their flagship store was Greenwood Fish Bistro & Market at Greenwood Avenue where they sell fresh fish and seasonal seafood for you to prepare your own food at home in additional to their bistro.Their very worth it Lunch Set Menu! Got to try it one of the days sooon!Set of condiments to accompany your food!Lobster Bisque: Very thick and rich in taste with chunks of lobster meat. The soup is totally filled with the essence of lobsters. Very flavorful and appetite whetting dish!Hot Seafood Platter with Additional Half Boston Lobster: There’s a choice of hot and cold seafood platter. We decided to go for the hot one. The hot platter consists of various shellfish like clams and green muscles cooked in broth, grilled prawns and calamari, deep fried soft shell crab and fish fillet, fries and some greens. And we add on half grilled Boston lobster. The lobster is awesome! Fresh, sweet, meaty and crunchy. The seasoning and flavor from the grill, totally seeps into the lobster meat and it tasted so good! Shellfish in broth is good too, the broth is quite heavy in its taste, a lil salty and could taste a lil white wine. All the seafood used were really fresh and good. Calamari was grilled just nice, a little chewy but not tough on teeth but had that over burnt taste though. The boston lobster is still my favourite out of the whole platter!All in all, enjoyed the seafood feast in the little fish shop. Having been coming to nex almost everyday with my mum to try out different type of restaurant in this food paradise shopping mall . Happen to pass by the restaurant named The Little Fish Shop . So we decided to try it out. We are welcome by the waitress before showing us to our seats , the restaurant is well deco , cosy ad spacious . They serve different type of main courses , as well as desserts.We ordered Lobster Bisque the soup is thick , a bit sour and there are tiny bits of lobster flesh , oysters whereby it was fresh and the meat was juicy and tender and lastly cod fish where it was well cooked with marinated fish and taste nice and delicious. …查看更多

Had been to NEX a couple of times but only discovered this restaurant recently. Lobster Bisque - Thick , Creamy with tiny bits of lobster flesh. Prawn Aglio Olio - One of the best that i had tried. The flavor is just nice without me having to add in any more seasoning . The prawns was of a reasonable size but most importantly, they were fresh and crunchy! Do try their oysters when they have the deals. The oysters are fresh, and served very quickly.
