The cod fish at this restaurant was the best dish, cooked perfectly. It had a little spice that added flavour without overwhelming the palate. The Putu Piring cake was also very tasty, with a nice balance of sweetness from the cake and richness from the peanut and coconut filling. Those who do not like sweet desserts might find it a bit too sweet, but I thought it was exquisite. I went to The Malayan Council at Marina Bay on a Saturday evening and honestly, the view alone is worth the visit. We started with the Cone Trios Rillette, smoked duck, crab, and salmon in little pastry cones, and I found myself sneaking bites before anyone else. The Ultimate Lobster was incredible, tender and juicy, with just the right seasoning. I wasn’t expecting much from the Beef Wellington, but it was perfectly cooked, flaky, and paired so well with the veggies. The staff were friendly and checked in just enough without hovering.
