This bar on River Valley Rd is notable for being the oldest English pub in Singapore. It's a bit out of the way, so most of the customers here are regulars and seem to know each other - a mix of friendly expats. They also have a pub quiz on the last Thursday of the month. As you'd expect of an English pub, there's a good selection of beers on tap including Tetley's Bitter, London Pride, Guinness and Carlsberg. They also have a wide selection of bottles - I like the pear cider. British food isn't known for being great, but it's fine for bar snacks - potato wedges, chicken wings, things like that. There's a nice garden area in the back where you can smoke. The servers are friendly, too.
