Tian Tian Yuan Dessert House

There're few dessert stall in tiong bahru market and tian tian yuan is the most famous one. I ordered their strawberry tadpoles ice. You can see chunks of strawberry and lots of tadpoles. The tadpoles are chewy. The ice is fine and it melts instantly in the mouth. I would definitely recommend this dessert for all the strawberry lover. …查看更多

One prominent dessert stall at the Tiong Bahru Market would be this stall. From far, you can see 'dessert' and a Q when peak-hour is ending (hey, its dessert).I was feeling hot the day so I ordered an Ice Kachang, since the usual red bean milk ice I love (if you guys start knowing most of my coverage) is not on the menu. I was hoping for a tall tall order, but when it came it was a bit short. Hence, the price was not expensive at all; Ice Kachang ($1.20) and Peanut Ice Kachang ($1.50) difference lies on the sole topping. I was - erhm - lucky as the person made it wrong and added a spoonful of peanut on top but since I paid already and argued 'but I changed my menu' so the lady was like "OK OK go go" Taste: This is probably the best nice-tasting ice kachang so far. It's not too sweet, with all these colorful syrups and the color is not as bright as others, so not too much coloring/preservative/etc. there? Reminds me of Xmas light colors! But for the 'filling', I didn't think I eaten corn, and they don't give a lot of 'fillings', but other stuff like jelly, grass jelly and black cubes and all are present.Well, I shall need to try their Cheng Teng ($2) since people were Qing for that - should be famous for!
