 The soup of the day was cream of mushroom, served with a old school type of garlic toast.

The lamb was quite tender without any gamey taste, marinated with spices which reminded me of Indian cuisine. The rice was soft, fluffy, garlicky with pieces of cashew nuts in it.

 The dessert was a slice of chocolate chip cake which was light fluffy.

Finished off with a cup of hot milo.

Everyday have budgeted set lunch, Tim’s was promoting their food in valuable combination during lunch meal even on Saturday and Sunday. Too bad, I missed their lunch hour. Taking my late brunch cum tea break, I satisfied my craving with Western Cuisine here.Service was efficient and friendly, overall was a pleasant environment. There was a paper pasted on wall, boss was seeking customer’s understanding and tolerance while waiting the food to be served. Fish was fluffy crispy and sausage was firm

 Fish was fluffy crispy and sausage was firmly solid, drizzle of Black Pepper sauce on top. Dressing included Potatoes, Carrots and Beans, they balanced up the flavours overall. Have to admit, the portion was not too huge but considered sufficient. Price stated was nett without any hidden cost, my dinner only $12.80. Pretty affordable, it was not my first time visiting them and would not be my last time too.

It was rare to find such Western Restaurant in the neighbourhood area. Tim’s served a mix of Nepalese, Italian and western cuisines basically. The restaurant was just a few minutes’ walking distance from Braddell MRT. By looking at the Lunch Set Menu, I took quite some time to decide what to eat, because almost all the dishes I also want to try.  By looking at the Lunch Set Menu, I took quite some time to decide what to eat, because almost all the dishes I also want to try. The set came with a main dish, soup of the day, hot drink and dessert. For mine, it only costed $11.00.

 Thursday’s soup was Cream Spinach. Green savory cream soup with pretty ordinary complimentary garlic toast, it was an awesome combination.

 Stir-fried Spaghetti, it was the simplest Italian dish yet most difficult to handle well. Good-quality of olive oil, crunched garlic, little dashed of black pepper and colourful veggies, it was enough to satisfy my tongue. Unfortunately, I don’t like mushrooms, my plate ended with chopped mushrooms.

 The coffee was smooth, strong aroma while the Walnut cake was surprisingly moist and flavourful. Nutty cake, it was not attractive with its appearance yet it was delicious for me.
It was definitely a nice place to dine in for quality food at affordable price, there was no GST and service charge incurred. Go ahead and try out the food here, you will never regret. Promise!

Walked past this open-air Coffeeshop restaurant a couple of times and decided to dine here with the family on tow. We ordered: 1) Lamb Shank - I judge by whether the meat has funny smell and the texture of meat. It's beautifully grilled and tender to chew. Only pity there's not enough for me!! They plate 4 pieces on a home-made potato crust and seasonal vegetables. The vegetables were well marinated and sauté too. The potato crust thingie is a little weird for me. No like. Walked past this open-air Coffeeshop restaurant a couple of times and decided to dine here with the family on tow.

We ordered:

1) Lamb Shank - I judge by whether the meat has funny smell and the texture of meat. It's beautifully grilled and tender to chew. Only pity there's not enough for me!! They plate 4 pieces on a home-made potato crust and seasonal vegetables. The vegetables were well marinated and sauté too. The potato crust thingie is a little weird for me. No like. But as a whole-SUPER LIKE!

2) Tenderloin - hubby loves meat so he order one steak with pepper sauce. Meat is generally tender so that's great. I asked him to compare to Aston's and he said that Aston's serving seemed to be bigger, taste-wise, about the same.

3) Grilled Chicken and fillet combo - I found the fish fresh and generous in serving. Chicken was ok too. Nothing spectacular but no bad.

We only order one set so we had corn and potato soup to start. The soup was home-made and has bits of corn and potato in it. Very nice. Dessert was bread pudding and it was quite good too!!! As we stay in TP, very likely we'll pop by every now and then to try their other dishes.

Was brought here by a friend who said their hot plate dishes were quite good. As the portions looked quite big, didn't quite have a chance to try the other dishesDecided to pamper myself and eat lobster as I normally don't get the chance. I'm not sure how they did it, probably because the lobster had been frozen, the meat was really difficult to take out from the shell and different from the fresh Maine lobsters I had before.  Decided to pamper myself and eat lobster as I normally don't get the chance. I'm not sure how they did it, probably because the lobster had been frozen, the meat was really difficult to take out from the shell and different from the fresh Maine lobsters I had before. It was relatively chewy and I think I sort of gave up on peeling the meat out after a while.

The steak pieces had some tendon on the side and the meat kept on getting stuck in my mouth. I'm usually ok and understanding with different grades of beef, but in the end, I was having trouble cutting and chewing.

According to my friend who introduced the place, it's the first place this happened. So I'm going to give this place the benefit of the doubt in which that day their quality was not up to the standards they are normally at.

Restaurant quality, food court pricing, but sadly coffee shop ambience as it is in the middle of hdb flats. A mixture of Nepalese and seemingly Western cuisine, Tim's Cafe offers a menu of wide varieties. I'd normally go for the grilled fish which only costs $6 for two nutritious pieces with mixed grilled vegetables. You could also choose your sauce to go with such as black pepper, mushroom, etc. To add on to make your meal a complete set will cost an additional $3 and you'd get to enjoy garlic

I'd normally go for the grilled fish which only costs $6 for two nutritious pieces with mixed grilled vegetables. You could also choose your sauce to go with such as black pepper, mushroom, etc. To add on to make your meal a complete set will cost an additional $3 and you'd get to enjoy garlic bread with soup, coffee/tea and a good piece of cake as dessert. The flavor of soup and cake varies so you might want to ask before ordering. Really love the banana cake though. Had it twice and both times were as good. It's moist, rich and full of banana flavor without being too buttery. My dad once ordered the pork ribs and the portion was huge, really generous, with side fries and salad. My dad's generally a big eater and he couldn't manage to finish the whole meal either, so if you're intending to get the ribs, I'd recommend to share.

Despite the place being named, "Tims Restaurant & Cafe", the owner is actually called Tom and he's a great host. Warm, friendly and genuine good customer service.

You'd just have to get pass the fact of its coffee shop ambience and it's place you wouldn't regret. Food quality and service are definitely worth for value! I'd no doubt have many return visits.
