It was my first time trying Twelve Cupcakes. I only bought a piece of cupcake, enough to cure my curiosity .PB Chocolate - $3.20. Chocolate cupcake with fluffy peanut butter frosting. The dough itself has chocolate flavor, it's already yummy even if you don't eat it with the frosting. I like the peanut butter frosting, it was nutty, making it a perfect pairing with the chocolate-based cupcake. But somehow I feel that $3.20 is a bit too much for a small cupcake that I can finish in 2 or 3 bites only.Read More

I always wanted to eat cupcakes at Twelve Cupcakes. Now, I had a chance! I chose and bought Red Velvet first. It is their best-seller and a must-try! :) I found that the vanilla cream cheese on the red velvet a little weird but can say that it is also interesting. But the cupcake on the bottom is even better! Second to be bought is the vanilla chocolate. Oh.. I like the chocolate cupcake. Such a delicious chocolate cupcake with vanilla cream cheese should be recommended to everyone and all the chocolate lovers. Actually, I like best is the Chocolate Vanilla. I feel that I made the right choice! I love the bright sprinkles! It attracts me the most and so, I chosen that. I am sure many children like the Chocolate Vanilla. What a tasty and deliciously appetizing cupcake I ever had! Read More

We were celebrating my cousin birthday after eating dinner. It was a really a birthday season in this month, many September babies around me. In order to create a special and memorable party, we bought 25 cupcakes for her. Twelve cupcakes, it was a very famous cupcake shop that my cousin likes the most. They earned many positive comments from food bloggers so far. Good reputation, nicely appearance of cupcakes and unique tasty, we made up our mind to bought it for her. Our efforts were not in vain, she was touching until cry. Such pretty and creative cake that she never expected, it was her 18th cake in her life. Although it was very beautiful, yet we also ate it. Handmade cupcake, the taste told us it was using finest ingredient and freshly baked. Apparently moist texture, I found it to be spongy and not sickening sweet, exactly healthy. It was around $70.00 for the whole. $33.00 for a dozen, it has more than 35 flavours to be choosen. Read More

Food fads come and go, but the recent cupcake craze is one that I’m hoping will not just be a fad. With numerous cupcakes shops popping up here and there, one of the more established ones is “Twelve Cupcakes”, which was founded by local celebrity couple Daniel and Jaime Teo and has successfully expanded overseas to Indonesia, with more outlets in Malaysia and Taiwan in the works. They carry a wide variety of cupcakes flavors, such as the usual fare of Peanut butter and Chocolate, Strawberry Vanilla and also more exotic flavors such as Salted caramel and Nutella. The flavor that I will be reviewing today is the “Red velvet” one which is both aesthetically pleasing with the adorable heart-shaped candy atop the cream cheese frosting and the deep red coloring of the cake. The cupcake base is moist yet light while the cream cheese frosting complements the cake as it is sweet enough to add more flavor but not too cloying as can be the case with some frostings. If only the market price was a little lower, I would be a much happier camper. But as of now, I’m satisfied with cupcakes from Twelvecupcakes and the fact that they are plenty of outlets around Singapore to fuel my cupcake craving. The hot pink box also helps to make happier carting them around.Read More

Decided to be a trendy Singaporean and join in the craze for cupcakes. But seriously didn't understand the hype about Twelve Cupcakes (or any cupcakes in general). Ridiculously priced at $3 per cupcake, I was not the least impressed. I tried the matcha topping one and they were less than generous with the matcha topping (or the matcha topping simply sucks). The cake base itself was normal and nothing outstanding. Oh well. Read More
