 Hearty Breakfast - $16

(Your choice of eggs, sauteed mushrooms, bacon, pork sausage, tomato and slices of their very own Butter Top Loaf (available for sale at their Bread Counter))

For $16, this platter was definitely value for money. The scrambled eggs were delicious though they were a little dry. The pork sausage was seasoned well and the bacon too, was well-prepared. Thumbs up to their homemade Butter Loaf as well!

 Eggs Benedict - $10

(Poached eggs with pork ham and Hollandaise sauce on their Butter Top Load and served with Mesclun salad)

Look at the perfectly poached eggs! The only downside of this dish was just that the hollandaise sauce was a little too salty on its own.

 Fluffy Pancakes - $10

(3 pieces, served with fresh assorted fruits, butter, jam and maple syrup)

One of the fluffiest pancakes I've eaten for only $10! The portion was really huge, so I would recommend this for sharing instead. The batter was a little disappointing as I felt that it could have been more flavorful.

I had no qualms about their service, and the food was served to us rather quickly!

Atmosphere:

The cafe had tons of natural light streaming in that made taking photos really fuss free (I didn't even have to edit much of the photos here!!). The interior is also spacious with a huge communal table in the center and individual seating at the sides. Oh! For pet owners, you can also bring your pets there as well as there're plenty of outdoor seating available!

 Wagyu Burger - The main reason why I was here, the much raved about wagyu burger. I should had known better. For starters, it was relatively tiny (think McD's new Big Mac size but without the middle slice of muffin) and the bun was dry and insipid though crisp in some parts. Instead of medium rare as per my request, the patty came medium well but looked like it had hemorrhaged just before service (check out the amount of blood soaked up by the bun). Taste wise, it was rather similar to McD's Quarter Pounder patty, albeit coming across as slightly thicker. And the cheese atop tasted almost non existent. In my humble opinion, this burger doesn't even meet the mark for a normal, non fast food beef burger, much less a wagyu beef burger. How it is so highly raved about honestly confounds me.

 Mister Chocolate - Apparently the best selling dessert at W39 (according to a placard in the display fridge), the Mister Chocolate did manage to provide a wee bit of redemption after the less than satisfactory burger experience. Smooth and rich chocolate fudge covering and flowing through the moist sponge whose texture was strangely similar to huat kueh (Chinese steamed cake). Top up $2 for a scoop of average quality vanilla ice cream. Overall still a decent dessert.

Rainbow Cake - As vibrant and appetising as the rainbow cake looked, it was actually pretty bad. The buttercream was stodgy and eating it was akin to chomping straight down into a cube of butter. Dry sponge layers definitely didn't help one bit. It was so bad that there was quite a bit left over.

Lunch for the 3 of us cost almost $87, which was pricey considering the quality of food. Service was alright but it will take more than service and a cosy ambience to get me to return.

Following up my visit on W39 weekend branch which had left me a memorable trip, I decided to make a return to check out their Executive Lunch.  Set lunches started off with soup of the day featuring cream of mushroom.Fragrant and light with cream. Croutons were added as well and texture of the soup was simply smooth. This bowl of mushroom soup had swept my feet off.

 The mini striploin set lunch was simple and straight froward, served with herbs and shoestrings fries.

With our choice of done-ness on the mini beef, the medium striploin looks abit deceiving at its external.

 Its sizzling dark brown color with 2 pieces of melting butter looked as though it was thoroughly cooked but dont judge the book by its cover. Juices were seen yielding as we lend the culinary knife cuts into it. The done-ness was way perfect!

 Over to the pan fried Salmon lunch set which seems pleasantly attractive as compared to the earlier dish. Salmon was perfectly pan fried with crispy skin and juicy fleash, featuring a contrast of texture in each decadent bite. Salmon dish was completed with grilled tomatoes, garden salad and smashed potatoes.

 These pan fried chicken thighs were not oily and were served with grilled potatoes and smashed potatoes. Melted cheese on slices of squash was a bonus on the plate. Awesome!

 We all heard about their cakes and was eying for one since we entered W39. The cakes were kept in the chiller and had caught my eyes since it stood up best at its own among the rest in its 7 tiered colors. The cake was hard on the outside due to refrigeration and coated with a layer of cream in faint yellow. Rainbow rice was attached at the side of the cake near the bottom. Each tier of colors was evenly separated by a layer of cream too. Overall, I felt that the cake is on the average side.

 Be it brunch or lunch, I have enjoyed both hearty meals provided by W39.The place may be a little quiet during weekdays and surprisingly fully pack on the weekends. Reservation is recommended unless you don't mind sitting at the outdoors enjoying the rays from the sun.

 The cafe is situated at West Coast. The actual address is 39 Jalan Mas Puteh. The closest MRT station will be Clementi MRT, however it's going to be a super long walk. So I suggest to take bus 78 from Clementi MRT station.

The space of the cafe consider acceptable. They have both indoor and outdoor seatings. The decor of the place gives a nostalgia feel. They have 1 small little corner that sells handmade wallets, cookies for Chinese New Year and snacks that kids ate in the 80s. Its pretty interesting though.

 We were greeted by this little name tag upon seating down. And I really like it because I find it very so personal. I remembered the other cafe that had this little name tag was Five and Dime Cafe.

 I would say the price of the food here is consider more wallet friendly. I am quite excited of going back soon for their Mee Siam because i saw many of their customers ordered that too. So i supposed it must be good!!

 Brie Parma Ham Panni ($10.50) - When the dish was served i really think that it was nothing special. However, i was really wrong. The truffle oil brings this to a whole new level. I will give this 5/5.

 Cafe Mocha ($5.00) - Its nice to complete our meal with a cup of coffee.

Overall, this place is affordable and food is very good. I will come back again for sure because i want to try their Mee Siam, Hearty breakfast and also more cakes too!

RAINBOW CAKE was going to be my 1st meal instead of a decent meal.

 Braised Pork Cheek Panini

It is a nice sandwhich that cost you $14 which i have never tried before. It is not a common bread and definitely taste better than what we usually eat of the sandwhich's bread.
The filled of tender hand-shredded pork cheek & gruyere cheese makes the sandwhich more delighted

 Gourmet Pizza Choice
This one of their gourmet choice of pizza.. A Pizza served with Salmon and covered by bunch of cheese. The Cheese is really very CHEESY !!! .. And the thick crust is hard with a little bit of crispy. If the cheese is lesser and not so cheesy which makes us feel supper FULLY, it's gonna be another right choice

    My friends and I visited this place on Saturday around 3-4pm.. It was very hard trying to find parking at the private estates.. Come earlier to find parking!!! My friends were racing about the rainbow cakes so I decided to try it.. At $6.80+ it was so so.. I prefer NOM's rainbow cakes at these prices.. And we ordered a side of spicy chicken wings to share, which smelt and tasted like har jiong kai(prawn paste chicken) def not what I was expecting at the cafe. Service was fast and quick with tons

     Tuck in the corner along the shop houses in Jalan Mas Puteh, W.39 provides a laid back and causual dining style for my Sunday Brunch in which they offer seats both indoors and outdoors. We did not make any reservations during then and was guided to the outdoor seating. Space was rather limited and we were offered a table to squeezed among the 3 of us. The weather was not any in flavour as it was abit hot and humid though it was about to rain.

     Under W39 Specials, we had ordered the Ribena Lemon Twist and Ice Honey lemon. The former was refreshing with ribena making up about 1/5 and 4/5 of the content with soda. Mint Leaves was added giving a soothing sensation whereas the Ice Honey Lemon tasted average to me.

     Beautifully done with Hollandise sauce over those poached eggs, ham and thick toast accompanied by the fresh salad sprinkled with balsamic vinegar. I wonder where can I find another plate of Eggs Benedict at the cost of $10.

     Croque Madame, is also one of the recommended dish on its branch menu. With ham and cheese sandwiched in between 2 thick fluffy toasts topped with a sunny side egg and acompanied with the salad on its side.

     So much of the European fare, we had chosen Nonya Mee Siam over Nasi Lemak with Chicken Thigh from its local menu for our last dish. Its gravy was thick but not spicy, if you want more spice, add the given home made sambal chilli and lime to the dish. It was added with tiger prawns and tasted quite fresh which somehow surprised me.

     Comparing to some popular places like Wild Honey, W39 does offer a better pricing. The place is a tad inaccessible to some perhaps as it is not very near nor far away from the nearest MRT station which is Clementi. Overall, it was a good experience and do remember to do reservations if you want better seating.

     I went on a weekday and I was quite disappointed when I realized that they did not serve breakfast food on weekdays. Well, so we decided to go for the Set Lunch. It is available from Tues-Fri, 1130 to 1430 [: The price varies depending on the main course that you choose. They change some courses of the Set Lunch occasionally which is good so that we can always have new things to try! The Set Lunch comes with a drink and a soup of the day.

    The coffee was disappointing as the coffee was rather bland and not as aromatic as I would have like it to be.

     For starters, which other places can you find a S$9 Eggs Benedict? More importantly, quality does not lose out compared to the average rendition. Toasted brioche, topped with bacon and two beautifully poached eggs with hollandaise sauce is completed with a serving of side salad.      If you're looking for something more filling, look no further than their Hearty Breakfast - a top-seller, and also my personal favourite. It encompasses an array of breakfast ingredients, including toast, eggs, sausage, mushrooms, salad and two sunny side-up. I have no complains, except that the eggs were a little poorly executed. Nevertheless, kudos to their overall presentation and taste.

     Meals are never completed without dessert (which explains my expanding waistline). We shared a slice of Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake (S$6.80) - a brilliant executed dessert, whereby the flavour is a nice balance between sweet and salty. Just check out this piece of art, and try not to drool.

     Besides brunch menu (available only on weekends and public holidays) and desserts, W39 serves a variety of tapas, appetiser and mains, as well. Their signature dishes include their chef's special Nyonya Mee Siam and Wagyu burger. It's all been raves up till now, and I definitely foresee myself coming back to W39 frequently.

    Another hidden jem at the west area. I'm lovin the fact that more and more cafes are coming into the heartland of Singapore. Westies can now enjoy another great cafe.W39 is situated near the Clementi swimming complex, about 10-15 mins walk away from Clementi mrt station. Good place to chill out. My girlfriends and I ordered their Hearty Breakfast which is a full work with bacon, eggs, salad, sauteed mushrooms and sausages. It tasted quite decent for a price of $18++. Their coffee is just normal. On top of that, we ordered the truffles fries after seeing so many other tables with it. We thought it'll be a good idea to try it too. However, it turns out to be a little disappointing as the truffles fries does not have a strong truffle taste. I'll prefer something stronger since we paid extra for the truffles.

    Overall, it is a good place for brunch. Will go back to try other dishes soon!

    Visited this place 10 days ago during evening time with le bf. I ordered mocha, duck leg confit, homemade meatballs ( beef and chicken) and rainbow cakes. It took sometimes to serve the foods. So I went in to choose a cake for me to savour, luckily I had rainbow cake and I like so much coz it wasnt too sweet for my liking. However, the duck leg confit is a bit too dry. As for the homemade meatballs, me and bf couldnt decided which meatball is beef and chicken coz it just looked and tasted the sa

     Baked Portobello Mushroom, Balsamic Reduction $10
    I certainly did not expect the portion to be so little but thankfully it did not taste like it was not worth the money. In fact, it was really good! The mushrooms were packed with juices and flavour. We finished it in no time.
    This is worth a try but I don't think I will be ordering it again as it is too expensive.

     Confit of Duck Leg, Mash, Aragula Salad $19.50
    I love their salad dressing! The bed of mash underneath was so delightfully soft, warm and creamy. The skin of the duck confit was crispy and the meat was tender. It was a pity that it lacked flavour.

     Roasted Spatchcock, Mushroom Gravy, Roasted Vegetables $24.50
    The mushroom gravy was quite forgettable but had a unique taste to it unlike the usual creamy mushroom sauce used. The chicken meat was tender but I still prefer the duck confit more. This dish will take at least 20 minutes to be served.

     Wagyu Burger with Fries $20
    Fries were crispy and not oily. The burger was light and fluffy. The beef patty was good but Omakase Burger beat it hands down.

     Chocolate cake with icecream
    The quality of the ice-cream was not really good and it melted really fast. It was nevertheless a wonderful complement to the slice of chocolate cake. Cake had a moist and rich texture. This is good for sharing.

    Service was friendly and meticulous in attending to our needs. There were not many diners around when we went on a weekday evening.

     Crew are friendly and brought along their smiles whenever diners asked for assistance. Food is generally normal, where it can be delicious, but not health-conscious type. Otherwise, it is quite yummy! In case you are wondering what's nice, you might want to try their Sake Mussels, which is a dish that appears in most tables!
