Lot 1 was getting a little boring so my family and I ventured a little further North to Yew Tee. Settled for West Co'z as it looked quite crowded. This is the LuoHan Vegetables ($10 for small). It contains cabbage, mushrooms, cauliflowers, kailan and carrots. This is a light dish and the oyster sauce wasn't too salty as well. It was not bad. We also got the Curry Fish Head ($16 for small). There are only 2 sizes so either the small for $16 or large for $19. The curry's spiciness was just nice for my family and the fish was processed well. There was no fish scales. The fish was smooth and glided down my throat. There was also a generous serving of brinjal and lady's finger. Sedap! 繼續閱讀

The mee goreng from West Co'z is indeed a must order dish from West Co'z. Their mee goreng is totally different from those you eat at Zi Char stall. Theirs did not taste of tomato ketchup. i must admit it was a little spicy for me. There were prawns fried together with the noodles. the prawns were very fresh and it was very succulent. the noodles were very tasty, it did not stick to the teeth. i like the egg they fry together with the noodles. made it taste really delicious. 繼續閱讀

If you happened to be in the area of Yew Tee and happened to be a student, do head down to West Co’z and try their student lunch. For $5, you can choose any rice or noodle main course and a drink. I opted for their thai style fried rice and their lime juice. The juice was served first, it was pretty sour, what to expect from a cup of lime. Nevertheless it really whets your appetite. The thai style fried rice is really good, they got set aside chilli padi for you to stir into the rice if you want a spicer taste. They also have pieces of fried chicken to go with the rice. it is really worth it. 繼續閱讀

after dropping something off at the inlaws place, my hubby and I headed to yew tee point for a late dinner. We decided to order their assam fish curry for dinner. The portion of the assam fish was really large. It was served on a large dish. There were a lot pineapples in the dish, my favourite fruit. The pineapples added acidity to the dish. there was also long beans, gave the dish a crunchy addition. The gravy was sweetish and sourish at the same time. The fish meat was really very fresh, it is smooth and succulent. The assam gravy is very tasty, not too spicy as well. goes well with their steamed white rice. 繼續閱讀

Brought some of the a la carte dishes which includes oat sotong, fried kailan and the hotpot tofu. Firstly, the oat sotong is well cooked, cripsy oat coating, sotong is soft and chewy, not too hard. Small slices of chili is added to enhance the taste of the sotong. A very good combination of oat and sotong and is quite unique. Next the fried kailan was well cooked, quite fresh but the sauce is a bit too salty. Topped with fried onion enhance the taste of the kailan. Lastly, the hotpot tofu consist of cabbage, slices of corn, prawn, carrot slice and with a layer of egg at the bottom. The tofu was soft and smooth, seasoning was sufficient and not too salty. However the gravy was a bit too little. Overall, a cafe offering delicious food at affordable price and is worth a try. 繼續閱讀
