Wild Honey

Wild Honey is renowned in Singapore for serving all day breakfast from different countries and was also featured in several magazines. I have been waiting for a chance to try out their food and the chance came when my friends and I made an impromptu decision to go Wild Honey. It was a Monday afternoon and there was no queue and it was quite empty. The menu was quite extensive and we took a while to decide what we want to eat. Being a person who hates egg yolk :/, I didn't have many choices since I can't eat Eggs Benedicts or dishes with poached eggs. I wanted to try I love New York -I was attracted to the bagel- but it was unavailable :( So I chose Basque in the end. Basque consisted of toasted brioche, scrambled eggs with red and yellow peppers, onions and Spanish Serrano ham. I LOVE IT. The scrambled eggs and pepper complemented each other well. I do not really like pepper because I think they have a weird and smell and taste. However, the peppers in this dish was different. It was sweet and juicy and when eaten together with the eggs and spammed with lots of black pepper. BANG! YUMMY! The ham was tasty too however do take note to eat the ham together with the egg and brioche. Otherwise, it is quite salty on its own. Wild Honey, a shop that had been selling breakfast for all day long. Went there once and to be honest, i think that it is a little bit too expensive for me. Well, the one i ordered is known as french toasts. Well, not too satisfied with it anyway. the waffles are somehow too fluffy, unlike those normal waffles. We had a heart breakfast at Wild Honey. It was a long long wait! As usual, we waited patiently while shopping around. I had Canadian Breakfast set which comes with 3 fluffy thick pancake with slices of bacon accompanied with maple sauce and berries jams. Their portion is a little too huge for me and i personally find it expensive as it was only an average breakfast. The settings and ambience was nice. They can improve if they have more seats, lesser food portion so that it's more affordable. Perhaps a kids meal will be good.…查看更多

I love English Breakfasts! But I've never had the chance to try one outside so I decided to have a go at it! Wild Honey didn't disappoint me! I love the filling, refreshing breakfast. I love savoury food for breakfasts so I wasn't gonna order some peanut butter and jam or something. I love the scramble eggs! Super fragrant and buttery accompanied with two bread loaves! You may feel a little disoriented after u stepped into this place because their menu are written on chalkboards on the wall so u do not have the luxury to take your time to choose your food. The food menu is named according to countries-canadian, scandinavian...(cant remember all) You also pay directly at the counter, and this system can be cool in a way that each patron pay their own dish without the hassle of splitting bill. Unfortunately i went there on a full stomach so i wasnt able to try all the super yummy food. But of course i needed to try something! I had the macadamia banana bread which was alright. Had the cappuccino which was also so-so only. One of my friends ordered the canadian pancake which was a stack of 3 fluffy pancakes (good enough to share) with bacon on the side. The other one ordered a salmon which looked so-so only too. I would say we probably didnt order the famous stuff but I think price is abit on the expensive side for the value of the food but i think that was made up for by the portion. This meal was something different because i had this for dinner. overall the taste was ok but not fantastic because how special can one make bread egg taste unique. although i have to say it was a good experience because the setting of the place was really cosy. it would be good to visit the place if you are looking for a nice ambiance rather than for good food. …查看更多

After a long wait for H&M launch of Versace X H&M, decided to walk across the street to Mandarin Gallery and have a hearty breakfast at Wild Honey.went in at around 11am, the restaurant was almost fully occupied.Canadian Breakfast set - comes with 3 fluffy/thick pancake with slices of bacon and comes with maple sauce and berries jams, 3 pieces of pancake is a little bit too much to finish by one person. personally find it expensive to pay for this dish as i overall find it so so though.English Breakfast set - 2 piece of toast bread with sausage, scramble eggs, big beans, tomatoes, sauteed mushroom, slice bacon and stir-fried potatoes cubes. for the amount i paid, i think this is way more worth it than the Canadian Breakfast Set.it is a very cosy restaurant... low dim light. like the concept of using homely furniture although this might take up more space and in so there are limited seats.. …查看更多

Famous for its all day breakfast concept, I gave it a try quite some time ago, and then again recently (just because their menu is so intriguing).Even on a Monday brunch, it is packed. Well also because they are a small outlet, but still. Their furnishing is kind of the air-conditioned ‘Riders Cafe’ style – a part with cushions and sofa; some with ordinary tables and chairs; a corner with a straight row of high stool and bar-table – each with a different reason for choice. Be warned though, if you are going on a weekend, be prepared to be put on the wait list. I waited for half an hour the other time. Thankfully, it isn’t those that you need to stand, in line. You can walk around and take in the Mandarin Gallery atmosphere while waiting for the call from them.When settled at a table, the cup of cubed sugar caught my attention. It can be found in certain places, but under the dim lighting, cozy and comfy ambience, this piece of art just brings creativity to another level. If you’re a tomato lover, don’t mind a couple of eggs, some cheese, sausages, topped with onion and red pepper, then maybe this breakfast set is for you. Otherwise, avoid this at all cost, like what my friend and I have intended to. We agreed that the European Breakfast is way better.English Breakfast :: The typical, classic English breakfast. Literally. Bacon here isn’t done like those in European Breakfast, it’s harder / crispier. It’s just another English breakfast for me. I have ordered an english breakfast which was a very classic breakfast which consist most of my favorite dishes like scrambled eggs, bacon and pork sausage! And it come with sauteed mushrooms, dad's baked beans, and vine ripened tomato with toasted brioche too! I loved mostly all of them except the dad's baked bean. It tasted spicy and the beans tasted too raw for me. And really love the Brioche - the bread which was so springy and soft on the inside but still crispy on the outside. I ordered their signature egg dish The eggs ben comes on thick slices of brioche & instead of cooked ham, there's proscuitto & mushrooms. The eggs were perfectly poached& the sauce wasn't excessively rich, but the thickness of the brioche meant that the carb to protein ratio was bit disproportionate.The cappuccino here comes dusted with a little cocoa heart, which I thought was a cute touch &the flat white here is stronger than most.food is cheap & nice,but waiting time a bit longoverall i rat 8/10…查看更多
