http://www.umakemehungry.com/2016/05/wong-kee-wanton-noodle-roasted-delights.htmlAfter walking 6 rounds in Timbre+, I finally found a seat right along the passage ways of Wong Kee Wanton Noodle Queue. The seat was not really ideal as anyone who walks pass by will either rub against or hit my back.Apparently, this is one of the longest queues we have seen. We joined the long queue with about 10 pax ahead of us and I literally calculated that it took them about 5 minutes to serve a customer.Spinach Noodle with beef brisket is one of their signatures served in slightly green flat noodles. They were smooth but didn't have much of spinach flavour as usual when compared to the usual standard ones we had outside. Though the beef brisket was succulent and braised to its softness, I could not enjoy much as I felt that it was rather gamey.Beef Brisket Spinach Noodle with - $5.50Tomato noodle? What's that? Beats me as I have never seen anything like this before but this is also one of the popular dishes ordered by patrons who walked pass me. The fried and boiled wantons were placed together on the plate as the stall had ran out of soup. Instead of tossing the noodles with the usual sauces, they were replaced by tomato with common wantons mee ingredients like char siew and vegetables. Talking about that, beside having noodles already processed with tomato flavours, the sauce comes with the real tomato. The noodles, as a whole were a little dry and too tangy for my liking, also I find them quite salty.Tomato Noodle Wanton Mee - $4.50Since Timbre+ is still in its novelty stage and with news media advertising, the crowd coming in was literally non-stop. Finding of seating can be a frustration, as a whole, with such a scotching weather, the place not only needs more coolers but also requires more ventilation. 繼續閱讀
