I was rather impressed at the shop's marketing strategy. Same noodle, different sauce, 3 dishes. Hey!!!!! Isn't that like so awesome, like not much extra energy and you give extra variety which people appreciate! I ordered tomato ketchup wontan mee, and I really enjoyed it. The last time I ate a tomato based one was when I was younger. So I really missed it without realising what I was missing. The taste of the charsiew was average, this charsiew was thin, I prefer the ones with some thickness and glaze. The noodle was good, soft enough and Q enough! I enjoyed the wontan, the flavour of the meat was not overpowering and the skin Crumbles in my mouth. I didn't drink the soup that it came with though, was a little bland and had overwhelming skin taste (of the wontan)

This is the best wantun noodle i found in Singapore, at Kovan Mrt Heartland Mall outside the food court. Most of the stall is open in the morning, and this stall always is long queue, around 3-5pm they wantun noodle is sold out. I ordered Ketchup Wantun Noodle. the taste is flavorful ! the noodle is Q enough! taste deliciousss!! it cost me $3 (with char siew on top, wantun only have 2-3 pieces).]On 2012, they updated their price list.

Love for Ketchup. And now you able to find Wanton Mee with Ketchup. At Heartland at kovan for my early lunch. Saw the Q at this stall. Very long. As expected, the stall that sell their wanton mee is great.Known the stall lady. Always greet me when I there in the Q.They have 3 type of wanton mee. 1. Spicy.2. Ketchup and 3.Soya Sauce.I will alway order the ketchup type as it is my favorite. The wait is worth it. 20min When you start eating ur noodle, you can taste the sweetness of the mee. Its not the ketchup. The noodle is not sticky or soft type. Nice for this mee.For the soup, try to add abit more of pepper if those who like pepper taste. But without it is also okay.Overall : Will come back to try the other type ...... .... ... ...

If you live in Hougang you probably know about this popular Wanton Mee stall. Long queues were always spotted at the stall especially in the morning. After the renovation, all the food stalls were relocated to the same level and Yi Shi Jia Wanton Mee still retains the same unit number.Yi Shi Jia Wanton Mee offers 4 versions of Wanton Mee catering to the different taste buds. They have spicy, ketchup, soy sauce and soup versions. I had the spicy Wanton Mee which came with a decent amount of char siew and greens. The wanton which was not captured in the photo had tasty minced pork fillings and silky wanton skin. Overall it was a good old school plate of Wanton Mee that brought back childhood memories.
