There are 2 chicken rice stalls in this food centre. The first one has a consistent long queue of at least 10 people. The other chicken rice stall has no queue at all. The boss seated at the table in front of his stall looking bored. So, which stall would you go for your chicken rice?I decided to try my luck with the not so popular stall. I really wanted to give it a chance. I went to the boss to order for a basic plate of chicken rice for $3. I did not state my requirement and so i was given the chicken breast part. To avoid feeling disappointed, i have absolutely no expectations.I tried the chicken breast first. It was abit tough and rather bland though there was a bit of taste on the skin itself. The rice was rather grainy but it got little taste of chicken broth. It served with a few slices of cucumber.The chilli was the absolute disappointment. It has minimum level of spiciness with no distinctive taste of lime nor ginger. Its overall taste was very diluted. The ginger paste tasted rather average as well. A bowl of soup with bits of tofu in it served along with the chicken rice. The soup tasted rather bland, too.Now, i somewhat understand why there is no queue right at this stall. …查看更多
