My friend and I decided to meet up at Toa Payoh central for dinner. We were searching for suitable dinning place until we found an attractive banner displaying the escargot with only S$5.90nett. So, we decided to give it a try. After google the name of the restaurant, it is actually known as cheap Italian–Japanese food in Singapore. After google the name of the restaurant, it is actually known as cheap Italian–Japanese food in Singapore. The name- Saizeriya サイゼリヤ is a type of Japanese chain of Italian family-style restaurants which make up the middle range of eateries that fill the gap between gourmet restaurants and fast food joints. We ordered Free Flow Drink @S$2.80 nett each as there is a free flow drink counter for us to help ourselves. It is applicable with any dishes we ordered.
Mushroom Soup @S$2.90nett. Finely ground mushroom with fresh milk and chicken stock. The taste is just fine. We ordered Potato Omelette @S$3.90 nett. It’s the combination of egg, potato, corn, mushroom and bacon. We had Peperoncino Bacon Spaghetti @S$4.90nett.The spaghetti with peperoncino sauce in traditional country style with bacon. It tasted spicy and I couldn’t take it after a few bites. I don’t enjoyed it as the taste is a bit bland and can only taste the spicyness. Followed by Foccacia with garlic butter @S$2.20nett each slice. We ordered 2 slices and enjoyed having it. It’s quite similar with Indian naan taste. Lastly not forgetting the Oven grilled escargots @S$5.90nett. The escargots in special garlic butter which taste is just fine. Served in pipping hot condition and fast too. Overall, no much comment on the foods except the prices are really decent and affordable! Our total dinner bill was $30.50. This place would be recommended for students or people who are budget conscious. It would be one of the options for them.
