Someone might be surprised to know Chicken Soup Hor Fun was typically from Ipoh, Malaysia. Lao Shen Ji Shi Mian was located in between Toa Payoh MRT and Braddell MRT, their dishes were mostly handmade.The stall had been here for quite some time, business was rather with the visit of many regular customers. The stall had been here for quite some time, business was rather with the visit of many regular customers. Occupied almost two stall spaces, it looked clean and neat in appearance. Waiting time was not too lengthy, suitable choice for quick lunch time fix.
Noodles were pale yellow in colour, in fact it was springy. Chicken was thoughtfully torn in thinly pieces, tender and soft without overcooked. Unfortunately, Mushrooms and Pork lards added were not my favourite. Yet the taste was awesome with some drizzle of vinegar, simply hearty noodles served. Decent soup was accompanied along as well, two fishballs were given. Portion was sufficient, what a satisfied meal. $3.50 for each bowl, price was pretty reasonable.
