Ayam Penyet Ria is one of the most popular ayam penyet cafes in Lucky Plaza. They have cafes on two floors in the building, and another nearby at Far East Plaza. We were lucky that we had our weekday dinner there early at around 6pm, because the entire cafe was soon filled.The Ayam Penyet (smashed fried chicken) was a big piece of chicken that was not greasy and full of flavour. You cannot see it from this angle, but there was a mound of crunchy batter bits behind the chicken, reminding me of KF

We were lucky that we had our weekday dinner there early at around 6pm, because the entire cafe was soon filled.The Ayam Penyet (smashed fried chicken) was a big piece of chicken that was not greasy and full of flavour. You cannot see it from this angle, but there was a mound of crunchy batter bits behind the chicken, reminding me of KFC. The breast meat attached to the small drumstick was a little dry and tough though, and the cafe could improve in that area.
