I found this place by googling "best beef rendang in Singapore" (seriously) - and it didn't disappoint!There's a huge selection of pre-cooked food and you just point at what you want. I got steamed rice, beef rendang, tempeh, and some bean sprouts. The tempeh was cold but still good (I'm a tempeh lover), and the beans were surprisingly yummy and spicy. The tempeh was cold but still good (I'm a tempeh lover), and the beans were surprisingly yummy and spicy. The beef rendang was excellent - really tender, really rich with spices and coconut milk. I was dining solo and this with an iced tea (the Indonesian teh botol stuff) was under $5.
The food was so good I bought a packet of rice and beef rendang to take home to my boyfriend, and then he insisted I take him back on the weekend to show him where this place is.
