Central is one of my favourite places to go shopping. Well-ventilated with strong aircon.I think most praises and hype about Blisshouse is about the ambience and theme of this restaurant. I would describe this place to have an outdoor field secret garden theme without the hot sun and creepy crawly insect bites... quite a lovely place. The staff's spontaneity in recommending stuff and introducing promotions is definitely commendable We picked out a few attractive items from the menu: Warm Flourless Valrhona Dark Chocola and Italian Tiramisu. You're definitely paying for quality here.
It was a birthday celebration with a friend, so we brought along the DSLR to take some real nice photos with the sun shining into the restaurant.
Warm Flourless Valrhona Dark Chocola: Thick, heavenly warmth accompanied by the cool refreshing and creamy ice-cream melting on the top. It is also accompanied with an interesting sesame seed biscuit that entertains your teeth with that crispy bite.
Italian Tiramisu: In four words - Soft, creamy, light and fluffy. The plating of the dish is also very attractive.
Bread with Chorizo: Quite tasty. The chorizo meat was a little oily for my liking.
Duck Leg Meat: Tender, easily torn apart by fork and knife, crispy skin on the outside, tender meat in. The plating was just beautiful like something out of a super high class restaurant.
Carbonara: An addictive dish with the cheese, bacon.
Blisshouse Supreme Pizza: Sounded ambitious on the menu, when it was served, the pizza was really thin and crispy, well balanced of ingredients but only wished it was bigger or less expensive.
All five senses of sight, taste, smell, hear and touch are attended to. The place is well-air-conditioned; the carpet of the restaurant is also made of synthetic grass to fit in the garden theme.
However, it's a little costly though not something that would make me return on a weekly basis but perhaps when there's a special occasion.
