It was another treat (again!). The folks ordered ikura sushi and their usual sets while i randomly order. This is way better than bak kwa! There is no oil taste and it is also difficult to find a decent bbq pufferfish in Singapore. Many people either overcooked it or did not cook it long enough. The folks commented that they wouldnt order this if i didnt. A bowl of this cost $16. The chawanmushi here is a MUST EAT. It is the same as the ones at chikuwa tei and wasabi tei. Same receipe. There is no oil taste and it is also difficult to find a decent bbq pufferfish in Singapore. Many people either overcooked it or did not cook it long enough. The folks commented that they wouldnt order this if i didnt. A bowl of this cost $16. The chawanmushi here is a MUST EAT. It is the same as the ones at chikuwa tei and wasabi tei. Same receipe. It cost $5. Much pricier than most places but this is quality chawanmushi with alot of ingredients in it, especially the strips of konnyaku jelly where most people wouldnt put in. I find the ochazuke here has too little tea. But again, its quality green tea and its flavourful. The salmon here are in bigger pieces and there are more seaweed. Most places serve their ochazuke with diluted green tea and small salmon bits.
I will definitely go back for their bbq puffer fish. 3 plates is not enough!
