The chicken was nicely cooked with different spices in nonya style to give it the desirable tenderness. The rice was well-cooked to give it the fluffiness and absolutely enjoyable when eaten together with the gravy. The level of spiciness of the gravy is rather minimum as compared to the belachan chilli. The belachan chilli has got an intense spiciness and added flavor to the meal. The nicely stir-fried long beans added a healthy touch.
I decided to take away a serving of Chicken Rendeng, Beef Rendeng as well as the stir-fried long beans for dinner at home. The stir-fried long beans tasted disappointing this time. It tasted slightly overcooked with a bit of burnt taste. The Chicken Rendeng and Beef Rendeng still tasted good though.
Overall, it is still a hearty choice for lunch or dinner if you happen to be at the food centre.
