Located close to Outram Park MRT, this cafe offers a selection of local delights (e.g. laksa, noodle soup, black sesame paste, barley with ginko dessert) at friendly prices (under $10). We ordered the laksa and mango pomelo dessert. The laksa tasted average, considering that we could get tastier versions at cheaper prices. Sugar Granny cafe is better known for its desserts such as the mango sago pomelo. However, in this case, I found it less flavourful as I would have expected.
Considering the affordable prices and comfortable cafe setting, I wouldn't mind dropping by for a quick dinner fix in the area. There is definitely room for improvement in terms of the food.
