I've eaten at Toast Box numerous times - often going for the same fare that was proven good: Curry Chicken, Mee Siam and Ice Teh. I saw that Bee Tai Mak was a noodle option, hence decided to break routine further by ordering this noodle. Queer as it was, the taste and texture turned out surprisingly pleasant! There were many Taupoks in the laksa, which pleased me very, very much! Laksa SHOULD always be accompanied with LOTS of Taupoks!!! How else to be fair to the yummy gravy?!?!?!?! The other standard items were all there - fishcake, prawn, egg etc. On this note, it would be totally awesome if the egg used could be that of those found in Ramen! Woah...(somebody bring me back...)
Yes, I got back! Haha! Throw in a barley drink, and you'll have a set! The barley drink complements the laksa very well, as it was not overly-sweet and thick. A good thirst-quencher and balance to the rich laksa! If there's anything to improve, go easy on the ice cubes!
