Wan Chai always seems to be very crowded and seats are quite limited. Fortunately, there are only two of us so we can skip a few people ahead and get seats as it is much easier to seat two than 3 or 4. We ordered desserts as we already had our main meal. I ordered the traditional dessert, the almond paste while my friend got the barley beancurd sweet soup. We shared the two bowls among the both of us and I have to say I preferred my almond paste. I ordered the traditional dessert, the almond paste while my friend got the barley beancurd sweet soup. We shared the two bowls among the both of us and I have to say I preferred my almond paste. The almond paste here is thick and rich and it has a nice fragrance of almond. It is also not too sweet. On the other hand, the barley beancurd is just normal and I felt that the soup has more sugar taste than from the taste of barley/beancurd. I personally wouldn't order that again, but the almond paste is worth trying!
