This is my very first time ordering a set from Ichiban Sushi, normally I will just grab sushis off the conveyer belt. I forgot the name of this set, but the code for it on the menu is PM2, and it costs $17.90++. The set comes with two slices of watermelon, chawanmushi, rice, salmon sashimi, miso soup and the steamboat. The steamboat has cabbages, enoki mushrooms, thinly sliced meat and the chinese mushroom. It is supposed to be spicy but I find it not spicy at all, hence it is quite dissappointi
The steamboat has cabbages, enoki mushrooms, thinly sliced meat and the chinese mushroom. It is supposed to be spicy but I find it not spicy at all, hence it is quite dissappointing since I ordered it precisely because the menu indicates two chillis. The meat is very yummy since it is very thinly sliced and it is well-marinated. However, I wish the serving of meat could be more. There are only 4 slices which is very little, considering it is so thinly sliced. I love the chawanmushi - it is very smooth and not too salty. I especially love the sliced mushroom in the chawanmushi. Overall, I think I will stick to ordering ala carte instead of set, since the steamboat is not worth it, and I can easily just order chawanmushi and sashimi ala-carte.
