Sakae Sushi serves very commercial Japanese food and it seems that their standard is dwindling over the years. I would even prefer getting sushi from Isetan Scotts' basement supermarket than dine here. The Unagi Binbinba ($12.99) looks impressive in a hot stone bowl, but the unagi was served cold and it had a heap of rice but not much ingredients. The Unagi Binbinba ($12.99) looks impressive in a hot stone bowl, but the unagi was served cold and it had a heap of rice but not much ingredients. It's basically just a lot of plain Japanese rice topped up with shredded tamago, mushrooms and a few slices of cold unagi on top. There were also a few other slices of unagi hidden within the rice but overall the dish lacked flavour. I would definitely not order this again if I ever come back to Sakae Sushi.
