Never thought about Vegetarian version when came across Char Kway Teow, it was one of the best foods among local delicacies. Right tactic in cooking to bring out the frying fragrance, control of fire as well as timing was precise. Without any meat or lard added, the plate was a truly decent fried Kway Teow. Luscious aromatic in first bite, it was utterly savoury and satisfying. Healthier version did not means worse version, this Kway Teow perked up my taste buds also. Not too mushy or too oily greasy, distinctive texture was pleasant. Ingredients were vegan meat even fish cake, well blended together with flavourful chewiness. Price was $3.50, very inexpensive.
