Da Paolo Bistro Bar is no doubt one of my favourite brunch places, due to the green surrounding, serene-looking design, and of course, good food! I always have a cup of cappuccino ($6) to start with while waiting for the food. They doesn't really have a lot of the salad choices, but all the greens are very fresh I must say. The greens are accompanied by cherry tomatoes that are pretty sweet, spicy raw onion rings, and topped with grilled prawns.
This is the first time we ordered pizza here, the blue swimmer crabmeat pizza ($25) is not too bad, the base is not overly thick, which is nice. The pizza is topped with generous amount of crabmeat, and sprinkled with lots of black pepper.
I had the Pasta Gratinata ($22) and absolutely fell in love with it. The cooked pasta is being oven-baked again before it's served on the table. The sauce is so rich and creamy, together with heaps of bacon, this pasta is simply sinful yet comforting!
As for desserts, we had the Salted Caramel Pannacotta, Candied Almond Popcorn ($14). It consists of the smooth caramel-flavoured pannacotta, the crispy popcorn, and finished up with a small jar of chilled chocolate drink! Three completely different flavours' components, yet matching so well together.
Another dessert that we ordered is the Chocolate and Vanilla Profiteroles ($11), the creamy filling is beautifully done. thumbs up!
