Traditional British Fish & Chips consist of beer battered fish fried to golden perfect, complemented by thick cut fries that are greasy chunks of fried potato. They are wrapped up in (news)paper and served piping hot to patrons who delight their senses in the aroma and tastes of the fish & chips on their lap. You can opt for malt vinegar, ketchup or chicken gravy for free, or you can choose some premium dips such as their special mayo and two other sauces which I don't quite recall. I always opt for malt vinegar or ketchup. The malt vinegar is tangy and delightfully refreshing, complementing the heaviness of the fried food. The service at the Far East Branch is far from good -the guy takes his own sweet time to prepare the food and the art of multitasking eludes him. He completes one order entirely (the process from taking the order, processing the payment, preparing the food and finally, collection) before taking another...A painfully slow wait if you're very hungry. However, for $4.80 it's worth the price and I definitely would have it again.
I recommend the beer batter fish & fries with malt vinegar/ketchup. Always has been my fav at CHIPPY.
