My friends and I were in the mood for Thai food. So we decided to eat at ThaiExpress after seeing it right away. The place is cozy, suitable for family dinner or gathering with friends.Thai Iced Tea - $4.90. I've been ordering Thai iced tea several times in several restaurants, and they all taste nice. Phat Thai Talay - $12.90. I thought it's supposed to be written as 'pad Thai'? But anyway, pad Thai is Thai rice vermicelli with beansprouts, squid, shrimp, fish slices, egg, chives, dried chili, lime, and ground peanuts. The taste was very authentic. Sweet, sour, and savory flavors blended nicely together in this dish.
Khao Gai Ob Nam Pheung - $10.90. Rice with honey chicken. The rice was very little (I finished the rice even before the chicken), but fortunately the chicken was generous. The honey sauce was sweet, but not overwhelming.Overall, I was satisfied with my meal. All food was delicious. However, as a restaurant that charges for 10% service charge, I feel like the service given was not worth the tax paid. The service wasn't great. One of the staff just put the utensils in a rather rude way. She dropped the tissue down from the table yet she didn't say anything and let me pick it up by myself. Should improve more on customer service.
