If you frequent One Fullerton, you may notice that there's a new restaurant there: The Pelican Seafood Restaurant and Grill. It replaced The Pierside which had been there for 12 years, and so the owners thought it was about time they introduce a new concept.I was lucky enough to try their offerings on a Monday night. I didn't really know what to expect since it just opened in October 2012 and I haven't really read a lot of reviews about it. Anyway, the first dish I had was the Seafood Platter. Q

I was lucky enough to try their offerings on a Monday night. I didn't really know what to expect since it just opened in October 2012 and I haven't really read a lot of reviews about it. Anyway, the first dish I had was the Seafood Platter. Quite pricey but for me, it was worth it: it has mussels, prawns, lobsters, crabs, and so many more fresh seafoods. Verdict: SUPER LOVE IT!!!

After literally attacking the platter, I went for more appetisers, the Pelican chowder, cod's tongue casserole, and black pepper candied bacon. For me, the chowder was a bit too salty, the cod's tongue was very tender. And the bacon was sweet and salty that you can't stop snacking on it.

As for the mains, I first had the NZ Skate wing chop. Apparently, it's a signature here and after tasting, I could see why. Very tender fish meat. and it went really well with the grilled corn. =D I was happy with this.

As for desserts, I sampled three but the standout was definitely the Pina Colada Sherbet. It was just so refreshing after eating so many dishes in one sitting.
