I've heard a lot of rave about Brotzeit's German food and this is my first time trying it out. We went to the outlet at 313 on a Friday night and the place was packed and super lively! There were lots of expats having drinks at the alfresco bars along that back alley of restaurants.Anyway, after some deliberation we decided to order the Brotzeit Platter ($88) which comes with a variety of sausages, lam schnitzel, pork knuckle and 2 sides of your choice - we opted for the sauerkraut and fries. The pork knuckle looked pretty impressive and huge. Its skin was so crispy such that you can probably still hear the crunch amidst all the live music and beer talk. I found it to be rather tasteless though, even with the sauce that they provided, the pork knuckle seemed less flavourful compared to the one I had at Aust Wine: Cafe & Wine Bar. The sausages were rather small too and the lamb schnitzel was just dry and tough. Well, perhaps German food is not exactly the kind of food that I fancy.

My friends recommended me to try out their Affensaft ($12.50) which is basically a mixture of mango juice and German beer. You can even ask for more Mango juice if you want it a little sweeter. While it had a rather unique taste to it, I kinda prefer lychee beer if I want to go for something sweet.
