An humble little eatery that can seat barely twenty, Sneakery Cafe sits on a corner of Sunshine Plaza – home to the many printing shops and the beloved Victor’s Kitchen. I was more attracted to their ice-cream booth that I spied from outside. It was so blistering hot, I was ready to melt. But upon entering, I realized they serve noodles too. My stomach's growling, and it was noon (cue: lunch time!)... so why not? We settled into a table. The lady boss scribbled down orders earnestly in her little notebook as I recited off the menu. I was wondering why they didn't electronised their ordering system, but I guess it extends the cafe's down-to-earth personality to every corner.

Their smoked duck noodles (with special sauce and sesame oil) the signature dish of the cafe, tasted like a piece of Vietnam and France, but not quite. Fusion food always surprises me pleasantly. The smoked duck slices were quite tender and springy (it's rare to experience both at the same time, but it is true) and tasty. The noodles, on the other hand, fell rather flat on the taste meter, and the sauce merely glazed through superficially. They needed to mix it in a little more and perhaps let it soak in it longer. But I really liked the smoked duck.

The other less emphasised dish on the menu, the tom yum soup noodles (choice of glass noodles or qq instant noodles look-alike) had a stellar performance when it comes to taste, piquant, strong, bordering on a little too spicy - bearing in mind that I don't usually take much chilli - but nevertheless, much more outstanding than their counterpart. The glass noodles were smooth and glides down in wonderful texture. Definitely recommended.

When it comes to drinks, they have root beer floats for you to reminiscence about childhood flavours... refreshing and satisfying. They also have different ice-cream flavours everyday. I would say that this place is a very fuss-free cafe that serves pretty good food.
