My friend and i decided to grab a mid-morning snack at Hoshino Coffee one day when we were meeting for an event at Plaza Singapura. My friend and i decided to grab a mid-morning snack at Hoshino Coffee one day when we were meeting for an event at Plaza Singapura. I straight away ordered their Shrimp, Avocado and Egg Toast when i saw it in their menu because i am a huge fan of avocado. Our toast took some time to come but from the quality of the food, i am willing to wait. The bread was toasted until crispy on the surface yet soft inside. The toast was bursting with creamy egg mayo, fresh soft avocado, crunchy sweet prawns, slices of cucumber and tomato and tangy tomato sauce. I was enjoying my toast so much that i polished them off in record speed.
If you are wondering what is in the small bowl at the side of the toast, it is actually 2 olives poked in a cute toothpick. I left that out as after a bite, i simply dislike the taste. I wonder what is the chef purpose of serving the olives with the sandwich. Is it simply to enhance the presentation or as i feel more likely, to refresh the tastebud? Either or, it is not suitable for olives hater like me.
Nice toast to treat ourselves once in a while as it doesn't come cheap being priced at $9.80 before gst and svc. Recommended.:bowl:
