The Paradise Group of Restaurants is having their Hairy Crabs promotion for the whole month of November. So I decided that before it ends, I must TRY IT! For only $98++, they are offering a six-course set menu which consist of dishes with, of course, hairy crabs. If you add $60, they will also pair these dishes with wine. But anyway, I'm not much of a wine drinker so I had the first option.

The items on their menu were:
1. Steamed Xiao Long Bao with Hairy Crab Roe
2. Braised Shark’s Fin Soup with Hairy Crab Roe
3. Sautéed Prawns with “Dragon Well” Tea Leaves
4. Steamed Shanghai Hairy Crab
5. Japanese Vermicelli Soup topped with Hairy Crab Crab Roe
6. Lime Lemonade with Lemongrass Jelly and Sour Plum

For me, the highlight was definitely the steamed shanghai crabs. You have the option to crack open the shell yourself or have their waiter do it for you. I decided to do it myself, but since this was my first time, the waitress did a demo for me. It seemed simple, until it was my turn. But the waiting time was worth it... meat inside was tender and soft. Once you pop, you can't really stop!
