This is the first time I dined at Yaki Yaki Bo and I decided to try Okonomiyaki for my first time. I ordered for ham and cheese Okonomiyaki. It is basically a Japanese savoury pancake consisting of lots of cabbage, ham and cheese. It is then topped off with the sauce taste like the sauce takoyaki stalls put on their takoyakis and a lot of bonito flakes. This is the first time I dined at Yaki Yaki Bo and I decided to try Okonomiyaki for my first time. I ordered for ham and cheese Okonomiyaki. It is basically a Japanese savoury pancake consisting of lots of cabbage, ham and cheese. It is then topped off with the sauce taste like the sauce takoyaki stalls put on their takoyakis and a lot of bonito flakes. Unfortunately, I only had a slice of the Okonomiyaki before I decided to order for something else. I'm the typical teen kind who do not eat vegetables and to make matters worse, there were thick layers of cabbage in the pancake so I had a hard time swallowing it.
Apart from the thick layers of cabbage..the pancake was great. They were very generous with the chicken ham and the sauce, which is very sweet, went well with the pancake. However, I could hardly taste the cheese because the sauce was too overwhelming.
To be fair, although I didn't finish it, my family, who do eat vegetables, enjoyed it thoroughly and it was worth it. Although its my first Okonomiyaki and I do not know the normal standard of these pancakes, I pretty much have a good impression of okonomiyakis
