FoodAfter the dinner at Ion, I passed by First Love Patisserie but the cake in the display had actually caught hold of my friend's attention. After the dinner at Ion, I passed by First Love Patisserie but the cake in the display had actually caught hold of my friend's attention. He pointed to me that this looks familar to the one in malacca which we had tried about 2 years back in Nadeje Patisserie Cafe, Mille Crepe @ Plaza Mahkota (melaka, malaysia). It is a french cake make of many crepe layers and during our trip there, we make our way there purposely just for the cake. Since we are missing this cake, my friend insisted that we should try this.
Pricing of the cake was stated as follows. I bought as slice at $6.50 to satisfy our taste buds.
The staff took about 3 minutes to pack the cake into the box. He took the frozen cake out from the freezer and sliced it up then carefully place the cake under the aluminum foil and into a plastic box.
Ambiance
The shop looks spacious and bright, with good lighting and displays in the shelving.
Price
Taking into consideration of the 20 over layers to form this cake, it is a piece of art. Price is satisfiable in terms of the outlook & taste!
Recommendation / Tips
If you ask me which version do I prefer, I will prefer the one in Malaysia as it is softer and not so hard. However, it will be better if it you thaw it. The combination of crepe and cream is pleasant and delighting. I will try its oreo flavour when I got the chance.
