Koi cafe (no matter which outlet) will always have at least a dozen of people queuing and I really can't understand why (even after i tasted their bubble tea). Visited koi at iluma on a weekday morning to try out japanese boat takoyaki and koi ice-cream bubble tea. The queue for the koi cafe is lesser ( arnd 5ppl queuing and 20min wait) Okay, while i was waiting for my drink to be ready, i was observing their staff, 3 of them (2 male, 1 female) was young, all quite fair looking (hahas, aiming fo
A few mins later, oh! my drink is ready. I immediately punctured the plastic film cover and slurped up the bubble tea. After finsihing (but still left with some ice cream), i look inside my drink trying to scoop the icecream and to my horror I end up realising there is a strain of GOLDEN HAIR INSIDE MY DRINK ~faint
That experience onwards i think i won't be visiting that outlet again unless they tie their hair properly. For a fair review (if without the hair), I find that their milk tea has a better quality taste compared to sweet talk and etc and with the vanilla ice-cream, it taste quite special. In addition to that I prefer their their small pearls. But definitely not worth for more than 30 min wait. Maybe is just the trend to drink koi that makes people wait.
Anyway, the takoyaki is more a worth to queue compared to Koi cafe. I had never like takoyaki ball as i think is just eating of flour with a small slice of octopus inside but for this i think it's the nicest takoyaki i ever ate. It has a crispy outer layer and moist in the inner, in addition to that, they have their special sauce top on it. Thinking about it, I'm drooling. Just don't know why people don't queue for that.
